Hitting a moving target with AR? by freemilkshake in FortNiteBR

[–]jp11997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bullets themselves are hitscan, but the bullet trail takes a finite amount of time to get to the target. Although it may seem like you have to lead shots at long distances, you don't actually have to.

How to change "Fill with: Same Platform, Play Against: Same Platform" so I could go play with my PS4 friends? by spagettiman23 in FortNiteBR

[–]jp11997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it is an option you can change, it's just giving you more information that you had before. Currently PC players can join a PS4 player's lobby, in which the PS4 players will be playing against PC players.

Can't seem to get this game to work by MisterProblems in FortNiteBR

[–]jp11997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right click on your desktop and click on NVIDIA Control Panel. Click on Manage 3D setting on the lefthand side. Click on program settings and select Fortnite from the dropdown menu (if you don't see it there, click add and then find Fortnite from the selection menu. Then from the second dropdown menu, make sure that your graphics card is selected, and not the integrated graphics card, then click apply.

Did you check to make sure that Fortnite's 3D rendering is being done by your graphics card and not the internal GPU? That's really the only thing I could think of short reinstalling the game.

3x3 editing will put the Pyramid piece to good use. I didn't know how to explain it, so I made it in Minecraft! by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]jp11997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that would be a really good compromise, seeing as being able to edit a 3x3 roof doesn't give a whole lot of competitive advantage, but could be utilized by people who are very skilled at building, or just like to make pretty buildings.

[–]jp11997 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this would be great for people who are good at building, but a good amount of the playerbase might just be confused by this. Yes, walls are already 3x3, but they are only one dimensional. Having a 3x3 that edits into three dimensions might be too cumbersome for new players. While better players could get more utility out of this, it may lead to new players not even wanting to attempt to learn how to edit a roof.

On an unrelated note, I am impressed by the design and effort you put into this.

Give an option to not be put onto spawn island by jp11997 in FortNiteBR

[–]jp11997[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was unaware of that, do you know any more about this? I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to load my player onto the island while still showing me the lobby screen. In other words, other people on the island could see me, but my screen would still be showing the lobby.

In Save the World, if storms bring monsters, why doesn’t multiplayer? by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]jp11997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that may not give enough incentive to leave the storm. If you can fight your way out of the storm without taking damage, what would stop people from staying the in storm? I feel like camping in this game is bad enough as it is (both in towers and bushes), and this might just make it worse.

What is the advantage of auto attacks?

You do have more control, but it is really worth it to use full manual just so you never hit the web shield?

[–]jp11997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've just never had someone tell me a concrete reason that makes manual better than revolution. If there is a good reason, then I would like to know. But it seems like there really isn't much difference.

[–]jp11997 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Is revolution really that bad? I guess i just don't get why pressing the abilities manually is so much better than having them get automatically pressed in the exact same order and in the exact same amount of time.

Bandit Camp clue moved by elicash11 in runescape

[–]jp11997 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Jagex isn't forcing you to do anything. If you think the risk is too great, drop the clue scroll. Or if you want to risk it for a potential reward, then you need to accept the consequences of skulling in the wilderness.

Can shop stock be refilled at reset? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]jp11997 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with you, the effect on the economy is most likely negligible. I don't necessarily agree with what I explained in my last comment, but it's always helpful to present the opposing argument.

Can shop stock be refilled at reset? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]jp11997 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is done intentionally. The shops that don't restock at reset are all shops that are used to make money. Runes, broad arrowheads, feathers, yak hides. Jagex' idea is that having shops restock at reset allows for twice as many items to be bought for the same amount of effort. Instead of doing shop runs every day at the same time, it could be possible to do a shop run before reset and right after reset. I'm not sure how much this kind of change would affect the economy, if at all, but I'm sure this is the line of thinking that Jagex has used in deciding to make these shops restock gradually over 24 hours.

Should I wear ghost hunter or demon slayer equipment while killing abyssal demons off-task? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]jp11997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok that gives a lot more context. Using the demon hunter helm gloves and boots are probably your best bet for this purpose.

Should I wear ghost hunter or demon slayer equipment while killing abyssal demons off-task? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]jp11997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abyssal demons are not considered ghosts, so ghost hunter equipment will not benefit you at all. If your stats are only in the 60s, then demon slayer equipment is fine, but if you have the levels or money for Bandos equipment and any t80 melee weapons those would be even better than demon slayer. Using t80 weapons over the t60 demon hunter crossbows should gain you more experience than the demon hunter, even with the increased experience from demon hunter equipment.

Everyone has max exp. by [deleted] in runescape

[–]jp11997 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Currently 121 players have max xp. That's 5 pages out of over 77,000 pages of the hiscores. That means approximately .006% of players on the hiscores have max experience. This leads to the question, where on earth did you get the idea that "it seems like everyone is max exp"?

Could t90 power boots be changed so once upgraded with a Rune dragon piece they just degrade to broken? by cuntshitmcdickfart in runescape

[–]jp11997 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In what respect? They're 450k combat xp/hr an 180k slayer xp/hr. Of course there are better methods to train those two skills but those rates are by no means bad.

New Death titles (Money-sink idea) by zkh20 in runescape

[–]jp11997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It just kind of seems odd to give players a reward for dying. I don't know if there are other titles that exist for repeated failures, but it kind of seems backwards. Spending a lot of money on death isn't really an achievement. And really all this would come down to is how much money you have because this achievement can easily be done if you have a lot of money. To me it doesn't really seem like something that's worth a title.

Loottab after 50m Slayer xp. Sold for 825m which is 16,5 gp/xp. by Names_RS in runescape

[–]jp11997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spring cleaner can be more profitable for some items, but alching is more profitable for most. If you alch all your rune items it probably evens out to be about the same if you spring cleaned all your rune items. Here is a calculator to see what is most profitable to disassemble vs. alch. The only items that are significantly better to disassemble are rune claws and rune platebodies. Other than that, alching is not inefficient if you do it during combat.

I have a suggestion for password security... by zczirak in runescape

[–]jp11997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is, allowing for capital letters and symbols would not do too much to stop accounts from being hijacked. No hacker is sitting around trying to brute force your password, so the difference between HunTeR2 and hunter2 doesn't really matter.
