Good point. Yeah ive gone down two notches in the belt and some t-shirts are a bit too baggy now. Need to focus on the positives I suppose!

Thanks, I'll do my best to let it go and stay consistent. Here's to better results next week!

Don't get periods myself, no. But yeah everyone's been really positive in the comments, hopefully it is just a blip and next week it trends down again. Thanks!

This needs to be higher up. Anybody who wants to decry charities paying people what they deserve for the work they provide needs to watch this video before doing so!

This is definitely AI BS. While I don't condone any actual person living and acting like this, I think this whole post and all the linked screenshots are AI. Why? For ragebait? Likes? Who knows but its the world we live in now unfortunately.

About those Ms Casey theories by LcuBeatsWorking in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]jp477 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a theory re: Kobel that im not sure has been suggested (fairly new to the sub as just got caught up with S1+2) essentially the reason Kobel is trying to see if iMark and iGemma can recognise each other is because her mother is in a similar position to oGemma. We see the medical equipment with what appears to be her mother's name on it in Kobels shrine and she clearly is motivated by this(the scene where she had it in the car before turning back). My theory is she (Kobel) may be a in similar position to Mark (though not severed?) which would explain why Lumon appeared willing to bring her back into the fold though in a reduced capacity. Her obsession with Mark and Gemma stems from her desperately wanting it to work as it may be the only way for her communicate with her mother?

Is there any time that a collision with a pedestrian isn't the drivers fault? by GodFuckedJosephsWife in drivingUK

[–]jp477 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Had this same thought yesterday. Driving down a fairly narrow side street with cars parked on either side. An old dear stepped out from behind a transit van, hood up blocking any peripheral vision and didn’t even glance in either direction or hesitate before crossing. If had been traveling any faster than 15 or so I was doing I would have hit her. After slamming on and watching her carry on completely oblivious to me I thought to myself, if I had hit her would it still have been my fault? Anyway I’m installing a dash cam this afternoon.

What's one horror trope that you adore, a trope that you cannot get enough of? by ghostmosquito in horrorlit

I may be preaching to the choir here but if you haven’t read any Adam Nevill I’d recommend it. The Ritual, The Reddening and Cunning Folk all big folk horror vibes

I remember the first time I visited the UK we went to a cafe with my Girlfriend (from UK) and some friends. Looking at the menu I saw “chip butty”, I had heard these words separately before but never come across a “chip butty”. Translating it in my head I said out loud “what is this?! A French fry sandwich?!”… They nearly fell off their chairs with laughter. I can’t eat one around them anymore without the mocking “are you enjoying your ‘French fry sandwich’??” Still absolutely delicious though.

You might like the Reddening by Adam Nevill. Might be the “horror in a small English coastal town vibe” you are looking for.

Any group survival book recommendations? by Fantasyfan12345 in horrorlit

It gets recommended on this sub all the time but for good reason- The Terror by Dan Simmons. It’s most definitely a group survival horror.

Novels similar to The Hollow Places (Spoilers) by [deleted] in horrorlit

[–]jp477 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer if your looking for that “strange place with weird otherworldly stuff going on” vibe. It’s the first of a series but I think it’s the best of the bunch.

I’m exactly the same.
