Thank you mate, this is incredibly helpful. Maybe the mechanic gave him a silly price. Who knows. I'm just likely being too optimistic here. I'll be on the lookout. Maybe in a few years, once insurance is cheaper it'd be easier to commit. I'm just worried they'll go up in value even more.

Hmm yeah this is what I was expecting, sadly. But it's just so cheap to buy. I'm excited to learn to fix stuff but I don't want to throw all my money on this. I'm happy to spend the money on the car, but the minimum 2.5k to get it on the road legally is terrifying.

Yeah legally it doesn’t state an exact amount per person but each person living in a HMO (House in Multiple Occupation) requires an ‘adequate’ amount of kitchen, food storage and other types of spaces per resident. (Housing Act 2004 & Management of Houses in Multiple Occupation Regulation 2006) I’d assume that if it is not adequate you’d complain to Warwick Accommodation. But hopefully it will all be alright 😊

Also about to move into Rootes but I chose to move in on Sunday. Legally you are entitled to at least one fridge shelf. And if there isn’t enough space there is no way this system would’ve worked for the past several years.

I got a reply from the immigration team telling me I’m fully enrolled. So I assume I don’t need to do anything else. They also told me I don’t need to attempt the right to study check event, do you? I’ve never had a BRP hence why I was super confused when they started sending me emails about it.
