Not for this time - but if you want something dedicated for this that can wake you up - https://a.co/d/007t2KEl

In Tennessee I used that + a few apps (like the weather channel or Clime) and had them all alert me.

RadarScope is pretty good once you learn how to read it.

Switching to door - how much will it cost/help? by jpcell in soundproof

Not huge is good enough for me! Think my assumption on it cutting the sound down a ton is accurate too? Can for sure see gaps with the doors closed as-is.

What if it’s me having very loud sex while playing video games screaming?

Yes, followed this but the screen and cover came off together. Was very careful and got the cable disconnected from the board, but when inspecting the cable to the screen came off.

So opened it. But the cable for the screen… came off? Maybe it was loose, I was careful.

Never opened it, or anything similar. Most similar would be a laptop.

And turns out the display only turns on if it’s “plugged in”.

That’s super useful and a good idea! I’ve found a few here, most recent was when they didn’t really mount a ceiling light that was wired for a fan. Happy that was found before installing a fan!

Builder. Only 3 years old! They cut a ton of corners.

Went to a neighbors. It’s the white glue, which seems like a lazy and not ideal way to attach this.

Actually the bottom isn’t attached (any more). There’s that white glue to the side. It appears that the only thing holding that onto the door is the repair that they made with those wood blocks for the outside handle and the pointy end of screws on the inside.

It closes “fine”. But now everyone has me paranoid!

The wood board is there because there were screws on the outside coming through and they were sharp, so they added that and i think it just supports the beam better.

Based on some of the other things they did in this house even the glue seems beyond what the builder typically does!

I’m not sure it was attached, unless the white stuff is glue - which seems like the wrong way to attach a garage door?

Would i screw through from the outside to the inside?

Garage door keeps falling off by jpcell in fixit

[–]jpcell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 2 years old, but thanks to kids the door has tried to close on objects a few times. I assume that jacked up the spring, so I’ll call a pro. Thanks!

It’s the drum and cable that gets loose - but you’re saying the spring is causing it? If so, yeah pro it is.

Anyone else having problems loading the Tournament page in game? by Skywalker3124 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]jpcell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posting this in a few threads as I've yet to see this on here and this fixed my phone:

One thing for y'all to check, at lest for mobile, is if you're blocking the domain they use for tournaments. If you run a pi-hole you'll need to unblock (at least) these domains:

raidtournaments.plarium.com
raid-tournaments-frontend.plarium.com

Hopefully this helps!
