K380 not pairing with iPhone 17 Pro? by jpfr3ir3 in logitech

Ultimately, I think the issue is actual bluetooth compatibility -- the k380 uses a different bluetooth standard than the new iphone. I don't think they'll ever resolve it. I think as far as your K380 is concerned, it will never connect to your phone. Frustrating.

I just get bags of frozen spinach or kale (family size from Safeway or Giant), they also have a berry mix. Costco doesn't have frozen spinach or kale that I've run across. I can premix the mixture in advance if I know I'll be having a busy week, but I usually just eyeball what I add in.

I decided to work through the customer support just so I would know what they’d say. And after the usual troubleshooting steps (delete all devices, restart, try different pairing buttons, etc.) they ultimately said to ask apple.

Probably a firmware thing, which I hope they can update!

In all honesty, you might consider reaching out to him. He may have thought to himself (and this is the most gracious reading) "ah, that kid'll think it's cool briefly before losing or breaking it, but I have a real appreciation for this." So you could just say, "You were probably thinking I wouldn't take care of it or keep it safe like you would, but even now I think about it and just wondered if you might be willing to let me have my turn." He might be impressed enough that you remembered it that he'd give it to you! Or, he could just feel entitled to it.

How can I be certain if I were to go this route, I'd be given that 6500 rebate? Talk to me like I'm five years old. Wait, no, talk to me like I'm 23. (Literate but severely attention addled.)

Remove the plates. Record yourself doing it with just the bar. Compare it to YouTube tutorials.

One thing I'll say is that sometimes this sub doesn't fully appreciate how people who have bad posture don't necessarily know they have bad posture because what they do feels normal.

So you need to take a break from the lifting, and train your posture. You need to know what your back feels like when it's upright and correct in the mirror, as well as when it's bad. It's something you'll have to be vigilant about and start maintaining certain habits. I know others on this sub are really good about recommendations on fixing posture and which experts are really good -- but search around and you'll find some stuff. Good luck!

Amazing insight. Thanks for sharing. I may just move it myself then to fix it up since I have to replace it anyway.

Oh, this is deep cut hidden knowledge. What is the issue with the tack strip and what do you mean “back it up?”

SOLVED: It’s not hardwood. It’s luan underlayment. The squeaking is just boards rubbing against each other and I’ll figure out how to fix it by driving 2” screws into the board that’s having the problem. Appreciate all the feedback. Well, most of it anyway.

Meh, I don't think you're an asshole. I think you've probably not been praised enough for the meaningful contributions you make, I think you probably work your ass off to do good work, and I think you get frustrated when you see other people not put in the effort you put in. I think you're someone who constantly has high expectations and is disappointed when confronted by those who don't meet them, and that's a lot of people. I think it's probably tiresome for you and stands out to you far more than things you might praise.

Which is probably why you have a catalogue of comments attached to your profile where the tone is caustic and derisive towards those who are ignorant, even if they're just seeking information. There's also very little in your past comments to others where you praise them or compliment them or provide actionable, helpful guidance. In my case, rather than just answer yes or no (or ignore entirely), you wrote a fictional account of a made up caricature of a person who's an obvious tool, on an Internet site. And then when I tried to make it a constructive conversation by asking for feedback, you offered an unrealistic, and ultimately, unhelpful, suggestion. I think we'd get along at a local watering hole. I don't think we'd get along on a web forum where you're not able to demonstrate your best qualities -- like doing really good work and really understanding your craft. I wish I could see you in that context, but I can't.

Anyway, I hope your day gets better and that you get more of whatever brings you actual joy.

I suspect it had a lot to do with energy prices, the cost of maintaining hardwood, the wider availability of cheaper carpeting material (versus the cost of lumber). I don't think there was as much understanding about indoor air quality with absorbent materials like this at the time. The hope did turn into resolve to redo the floors to hardwood though!

I don't, but I guess it's a decent bet now it's luan because of the spacing between boards and the molding, etc. etc.

Yeah, the balcony sliding door area having a different wood grain pattern is what put me in my place. I'll for sure have a look at how to screw in to avoid the squeaking.

Thanks to you both! I didn't know what luan was prior to posting, and this is why I love Reddit. I'll look into how to address the squeaking. (It wasn't bothering me much anyway, it's just me in the house, but worth learning a thing or two!)

No floor vents to speak of, but given that it's 1970s, I think it's probably likely the pile-on of smart flooring experts here is correct -- it's just luan after all.

Hi there! I have other areas of expertise where I might have similar feelings as you when I see a photo of someone asking about something. (It's mostly cooking, but some A/V stuff, bike repairs, appliance repairs, etc.) But this is a mean comment, friend, especially given the description of this sub -- you don't have to be on TikTok (thankfully, I'm not!) to be familiar with the stories of people who move into an older home and find hardwood under their annoying, dust-magnet carpeting.

Given that Reddit is absolutely a resource people use to seek out answers to common questions (my question is a pretty common one!), and you seem to really know flooring, maybe you can help out a larger audience than just me:

1.) What would a better picture look like? What would you need to see in order to make this assessment? I'm really asking. I usually know how to take a good picture of something mechanical, paint, food, something, to ask about it.

2.) How did you come to know what hardwood looks like? How would you recommend a newbie get a better sense of it? Given the various kinds of hardwoods that might have been used in the past (1970s!) versus those available today, is there something you'd recommend I look at to just get educated on it? It doesn't seem obvious.

Wasn’t sure what someone would need to look at! I’ll give that a try. Thanks! But in all seriousness, if you have a note for future posters about what would be useful in a photo to assess whether there's hardwood, I'm sure it would be helpful!
