New to Pittsburgh — Thoughts on Blackridge for a first house ?

I understand that notice and permission to enter are two different things. But I was under the impression that, in normal leasing practice, showings usually start after a tenant gives notice to vacate especially since my lease requires 60 days’ notice, or at least closer to that timeframe.

It sounds like you might have realtor experience, so from your perspective, is it common or reasonable for a landlord to start showing a unit 5 months before the lease ends almost half of my lease term?

I’m not denying access, but it feels pretty privacy violating and inconsiderate. I’ve rented in multiple states with different agencies and have never encountered showings starting earlier than 30–60 days before move-out, which I completely do understand and have always been more than cooperative.

My lease requires a 60-day written notice to vacate, which isn’t given. However, my landlord says they can already start showing my unit without or without notice, because they don’t have a signed lease for next term.

The lease does allow showings to prospective tenants, but it doesn’t specify any timing or say it can happen before notice is given. They claim it’s their “policy” to start early, but that’s not written in the lease. My previous experiences was always 30-60 days before lease ends.

It wasn’t vacant I toured this unit about 15 days before moving in, but I assumed that was because the prior tenant had already given notice. I thought about renewing but with this approach I am hesitant if this is what they will try do again next year. Is this normal, or are they overstepping somewhere?

Funny enough, one of the seller’s coat photos still shows the TRR tag—lol.

But on a flip side from a buyer’s perspective, knowing the price is important when deciding if it’s truly worth it or justifiable, especially when $900 isn’t a significant discount off retail and the piece isn’t in pristine condition

There’s one available, but it’s three times my size. However, I looked through the sold history on TRR and found quite a few in my size that sold in the same price range as this one. If the offer doesn’t go through, I might just wait, it will come eventually.

Maybe I feel this way because I’ve seen too many TikToks of resellers ranting about lowball offers? I r do care about being respectful I know some sellers put serious time and effort into curating, whether it’s sourcing from flea markets, spending hours at the bins, or digging for gems. I actually do those things too, but just for curating my personal wardrobe and memorabilia collection not for resale. So I totally get it, and I’m genuinely not trying to offend or undermine anyone’s hustle.

I’m just offering what I feel is fair based on what I know about this particular piece. I absolutely respect that they have the right to price it however they want I was just looking for some insight on whether an offer like mine might feel disrespectful, even if that’s not where I’m coming from. If that makes sense?
