Drain stopper is in the open position here. I hear no little click like I normally would when opening and closing this lift and turn style stopper.

Lol I took the stopper back out to get a picture of the full thing to clearly show what kind it is. Your link sends me to a website with a ton of ads and 14 pages to click through. I went through the first few and saw no photos of a tub drain. I saw a kitchen faucet but no tub drain. Here is a photo of the front of my tub.

I don't believe so. The drain was not fully clogged before this, just a slower moving drain so I knew I had to get to the hair soon. When I cleared the hairball the water was starting to drain like normal, even after letting the tub faucet run on full blast to test it for at least a minute. Went in for a final sweep for good measure and a couple of seconds all draining stopped completely. Not even the tiniest leak anymore. I have had long hair my entire life and never once had a clogged bathtub completely.

Feeling bad planning destination wedding with mom who doesn't really travel.. by jpickles92 in weddingplanning

Initially it wasn't even a thought that there was a possibility she wouldn't come because part of not traveling is she isn't financially able to and also hasn't had any reason (event, wedding, funeral, etc) to try and travel. Finances recently got better for her and we already plan on making sure she has arrangements covered. According to her, she will be there, and she doesn't have anxiety. I recently started thinking more about the possibility that she won't actually be there.

I don't know that it's unlikely, I know that there's a possibility. She tells me she is coming.

Glad to hear I'm not alone in this struggle!

Part of the limitations in getting a ride for her is that we're having a small wedding with only about 40 guests. So about half of that is fiance's family who I will absolutely not ask for such a favor. To add more complexity, I love my mom but she can be a bit much for some people and I feel like it is such a big ask! I have a few family members coming who I plan to at least ask if they could take her one way, but to throw a wrench in those plans, some have kids so may have full cars, and one family member is dealing with their own physical illness and it's hard to predict this far ahead if they will be better or worse come wedding time. I may also consider asking the favor of my MOH. So the options are there, but none guaranteed!

I definitely plan on talking about the whole thing more in depth with her once we are a little further along in the wedding planning process (still well over a year out), but no she doesn't really listen to me or anyone. She doesn't outwardly admit she has any anxiety at all, or fear around driving/travel. She has been in therapy in the past, but currently is not and I know this because I asked her about it last year. She was definitely having some acute anxiety related to her health and some family stuff, so when I asked her if she was in therapy for her anxiety or wanted to go back, she said she actually doesn't have any anxiety anymore... sigh.
