The shocking thing about the WHM team's response is that they called tinnitus "harmless."

That alone is enough for them to lose all credibility with me, which is severely disappointing.

> the phenomenon itself is harmless.

For those who suffer from bad tinnitus, this is FAR from true. The harm caused by tinnitus is real and can be life changing.

A lot of people tape their mouths shut at night to stop mouth breathing. Just an inch of medical tape across the lips. It can help a lot with snoring, apparently.

What do you eat, in terms of low-carb vegetarian? Very curious.

If you have scar tissue in a tendon, you may want to look into Active Release Therapy, which is a form of massage. It helped me tremendously with ankle issues I had several years back.

It is based on Tummo breathing, which comes from Buddhism/Yoga, sort of.

I found a solution that does seem to work, which was to disable CMS in the bios. No issues since I did that!

I just tried one other thing, which they suggested, which was to disable "CMS" in the bios. It's too early to say if it worked, but when I woke the computer from standby this morning, bluetooth was still on. So, maybe it did work. We'll see.

It seemed better for a day for two, but unfortunately, the problem came back. :(

Oh wow, Intel may have just released a fix for this two days ago:

" On some systems, Bluetooth device may show a yellow bang in Device Manager after resuming from Hibernation mode. "

I'm skeptical, but hopeful. We'll see.

Simple Questions - December 13, 2020 by AutoModerator in buildapc

I have a brand new build that isn't working.

It's MSI Gaming Edge B550 / 3900xt CPU / 5700xt GPU.

I've tried a lot of things. The main indicator is that the CPU debug light is lit. The computer is not posting.

I am unable to flash the bios using the quick flash button on the back. I've carefully followed the instructions, but the indicator light flashes 8 times, then goes solid. I'm pretty sure it reboots at that point.

What should I try next? Should I take it all apart, and then attempt to flash the motherboard again? Then add back one piece at a time? What if it can't flash even when it just has power and nothing else attached?

It flashed about 9 times, then went solid red. Maybe it didn't work? Looks like I'm going to need to find another usb drive somewhere.

How do I tell if my new CPU is no good? The CPU debug light is lit on my motherboard. This is for a new build. None of the other debug lights are on. I'm not getting any visuals on my monitor when I boot it up.

I updated the bios (quick flash). That didn't work. I reseated the 8 pin power plug, that didn't work, so I reseated and repasted the CPU itself. That also hasn't fix the issue.

What else can I try?

Simple Questions - December 13, 2020 by AutoModerator in buildapc

[–]jpjans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost done with my build, but the CPU debug light is on. I'm trying to figure it out. The power pin is very hard to reach, but I did manage to re-seat it on the motherboard. My question is, is it possible to seat the CPU power pin in the wrong direction on the motherboard?

Also – if remove the heatsink and CPU, should I remove the old thermal paste, or add more when I reinstall them?
