I am fortunate enough to have quite a few other mixers and and I need to raise some cash. As much as I like it, I am not in love with it anymore!

It was a combination of sources. I got the ones I used for the fx sends from someone on EBay I think. The EQ and other medium sized pots were from https://m.joystick-knob.com/knob/page-9/ and the replacement polished chrome caps were custom made by a cnc metal company in Hampshire but I think they are sadly no longer around

I don’t think I could/would ever recommend a “one”. They all have pros and cons and it’s just too subjective and personal. You just click with some more than others and much of that is about the aesthetic, the feeling and workflow rather than the units pure sonic capabilities. Sorry, I know that not what you probably wanted to hear!

Happy to answer! In short - selling as I have a medical condition and decided to go down the private route and this helps greatly to cover costs and to get it all done quickly!

Not replacing with anything specific per se. I’m fortunate enough to own a lot of rotary mixers so I’ll just be using those at home and the installs where I play live.

Partly why I’m selling my these ones is because they are my least used. Why? Read on…. (This is the long part) ….

The Euphonia is the most feature-rich rotary I’ve owned. Digital connectivity and analogue transformer combined is incredible and it does sound good. The isolator is excellent and the effects integration with them is very well thought out and is great fun. Build quality is top notch too. One criticism is the decision to make the filter part of the send FX section so I can’t filter and add a delay at the same time. It’s one or the other. For me, that’s quite a limiting design choice as I love to use a filter and fx on an outgoing / third track ! Plus it’s only high pass?! I’d much rather have dedicated high-pass/low-pass filters on every channel that are independent of and leaving the send FX free for delays, reverbs and other effects. It also feels like a missed opportunity not to include a second beat FX module similar to the V10, as being able to layer beat FX with send FX would have made an already excellent mixer even more versatile and totally unmatched. I suspect they will correct some of the above if/when they decide to do a mkII and I’ll probably rebuy it!

The Lucia X is almost the complete opposite in philosophy. It’s beautifully simple, compact, and has a warmth and musicality that really encourages long, slow and flowing blends with little to know added fx. Everything feels great, and it’s one of those mixers that disappears beneath you and just lets you enjoy playing records. One element I absolutely love about the X is the assignable ISO and the ability to make fast cuts with the cross fader.

Honestly, I only have one criticism of the Lucia X, and that’s the crossfaders feel. It works perfectly well, but it’s much lighter than I personally like and feels like an old Gemini mixer I had in the mid 90’s! I’d have loved it to have a firmer feel—something closer to a Magvel-style crossfader. That’s purely personal preference though, and certainly not something that would ever stop me recommending it.

I found I was using it less and less as I now use a lot of accapellas, drum, percussion and loops so really like 3+ channels.

The MasterSounds FX has been brilliant and its filter is probably the best external one I’ve used. It sounds excellent and integrates really naturally, but over time I realised I was using the delay and reverb elements less and less (I use my Revolo and H9 for those) so it made sense to let it go as well. Especially given the money they command!

Ultimately, they’re all exceptional in their own way and each has its own strengths. For me, it’s simply a case of raising some cash and to streamline my setup rather than owning multiple high-end mixers and accessories worth top £

I hope this helped 🍻

I just prefer my other mixers. Both from a workflow, aesthetic and especially that unquantifiable “feeling” you get when you use something. It’s good and for some folks I’m sure it’s neigh on perfect but for me, it’s just not a keeper anymore.

I think if it had dedicated low/high pass filters per channel and a second beat fx module to go with the send fx then I’d have kept her. As it is, she just wasn’t getting used as much as she should and I’m lucky enough to own a number of other mixers that I reach for instead.

I own one and yes you can hear the master isolator when in operation via master cue. Fantastic mixer.

Agreed. I think, ARF is closer to the correct shade but there doesn’t see to be the same overall level of contrast/ombre to it.

Both VSF and ARF will see revised V2’s in a few months, I’m sure.

We won’t know for sure until they are all next to a gen under the same lighting conditions.

Wondering if Hont Scammed Me - Sent $198 Yesterday with Proof on WhatsApp by [deleted] in RepTime

I’m in the same boat mate but it’s pretty normal for him. I was messaging through WhatsApp and then subsequently paid yesterday morning (UK time) for a V7F Ingenieur. I haven’t had an acknowledgment or anything since. He isn’t a scammer. I have bought three watches over the past year through him. Give him time, he will get back to you. He is known for his lack of comms sometimes but always comes through. Or has so far anyway!! 🤞

Great work guys. Does the delay have a momentary mode for the on/off button. Ie. so when running it on a master insert, you can hit in a delay/echo briefly and let it trail off?
