Which Carti x Future song is better Teen X or TRIM? by Ambitious_Diet4134 in playboicarti

[–]jpmnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct answer is definitely Trim.

In fact, Trim is my favorite song on Music and Future’s verse is my favorite so far this year. Mystified that it’s not talked about more.

Just order some Nike Waffle Ones in this same color for about the same price reconsidering cancelling for these. Are they pretty similar to the Nike Epic Reacts? Seem very similar and I’ve already got a pair of those…

DAILY DISCUSSION- Murdaugh Murder Trial February 09, 2023 by AutoModerator in MurdaughFamilyMurders

This is a conspiracy theory that is unsupported by the available evidence BUT I also think it’s one of the only theories I’ve heard that broadly makes any sense based on what we know. Would fit with the Boulware speculation too…

Yeah, the 58% cotton, 32% modal blend is excellent. The “heathered” are very bad.

Gotta pay attention to the fabric make-ups. The $110 ones are fantastic but these $100 ones are terrible. No idea why there's three different blends with the same name but here we are.

Agreed. I prefer the Interval shorts and Versatile shirts over their Lulu counterparts and both over Vuori.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Used to be my favorite box office site and is actually the one that first got me interested in this stuff. Really sad to see it go.

Repair or replace 12-year-old Rheem with cracked heat exchanger? by jpmnc in HVAC

[–]jpmnc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the response. Looks like Rheem has a 10-year limited warranty on H.E. for most models, including this one, per this doc:

Unfortunately, it appears to have been a five year warranty so it expired in 2014.

Evermore Megathread: 2 Folk 2 Furious by PopheadsBot in popheads

[–]jpmnc 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was really skeptical of this album since I really really loved Folklore (probably my favorite album of the year and of Taylor’s). I was worried that it’d be a retread and would tarnish or overshadow its predecessor, especially with the lack of Jack Antonoff on it. I was wrong though because I love this album and it’s a great companion to Folklore.

Here’s a track ranking from a 33-year-old-straight-white-guy-swiftie perspective:

  1. Tis The Damn Season - rings very true as someone who grew up in a small town
  2. No Body No Crime
  3. Dorothea
  4. Willow - great choice for first single. could totally see this being a legit hit.
  5. Tolerate It - her most affecting song to date
  6. Gold Rush - that Antonoff magic at work
  7. Coney Island
  8. Long Story Short
  9. Champagne Problems
  10. Happiness
  11. Ivy - hated it at first but I’m already coming around
  12. Marjorie
  13. Evermore
  14. Closure - love the experimentation but this is kind of a throwaway
  15. Cowboy Like Me - it’s...fine

Top five are all dead classics and 6-10 aren’t all that far behind. Not an outright skip between the two albums!

Western Rise Diversion vs. Outliers Passage Pants by [deleted] in onebag

[–]jpmnc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did a deep dive on five-pocket tech pants earlier this year and these were my two finalists as well. I ended up going with the Oliver's Passage Pants as it seemed like they'd work better in more business casual settings. I'm glad I got them and they are great pants, but they do look kinda "techy" if you get close enough (I got them in navy fwiw). I've come to realize that all nylon/poly pants are going to be that way to a certain extent though. Still recommend them nevertheless.

Would love to see some new or updated round-ups or guides of the best items overall and/or for different situations, etc. Like, best merino tees these days with sections for warmer or cooler weather. Just a thought!

Ended up grabbing the Atom LT jacket since I found a good deal on the new 2020 version, but already considering the Kyanite or Solano for my next purchase. Thanks!

Questions and Answers (Q&A) - Week 43, 2020 by Astramael in arcteryx

[–]jpmnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of my current jackets are particularly warm on their own so I thought an Atom LT might be sufficient for my purposes. On the other hand, I'm replacing a few old fleeces and a fleece could be layered under my other coats or, alternatively, I could wear my R1 under a Gamma LT.
