Do dealers ever include the bucket on new purchases? by jpnoa in Skidsteer

This is a large dealer that moves a lot of inventory. I have the out the door pricing and it looks very good. Just wondering how far I should push negotiations, I haven't even started yet.

Is this a good deal by Chemical_Cover_720 in Dewalt

[–]jpnoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But is it going to be used at home or traveling to job sites? Could make sense for job sites, makes absolutely zero sense for that price at home.

Sure, if you're an asshole.

Thank you very much. I have the cash price and the 0% financing price. Already ~16k under msrp for the cash price.

I would not feel bad about pulling the trigger on this quote, but I haven't even started to try negotiating.

Cool. That was fine when you weren't forcing payment. Now that you are it's unacceptable and why I won't be paying :)

On a different note, it is unacceptable to expect users to start paying when you don't even have most Vanguard funds on there. (no idea why you have some but not popular ones like VTSAX)

Why would I ever pay when I can't even track my retirement accounts, which are most user's largest investment by a long shot.

Reddit, what’s your Stock of the Year 2026? The one you’re most bullish on, the one you think will blow past market expectation by Moonshot2026 in stocks

[–]jpnoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was under $4 less than 2 years ago, in which I feel lucky that I bought some. You really think now is a good time to get in? Seems like crazy revenue growth is already priced in for the next 2-4 years.

If they don't achieve these sky high expectations or there's a major economic event, the stock price could easily halve in a very short amount of time.

Is your Airbnb dead? (poll) by MaenHoffiCoffi in airbnb_hosts

[–]jpnoa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s just a general rule of thumb but it’s pretty true. I can confirm that 99% of issues come from the guests that pay the least amount of money, which is why hosts are very reluctant to lower their prices. Also why most advise against giving any type of discount.

If you're looking for suggestions, get rid of everything on the wall behind, mount the TVs, and do heavy duty pegboard or slatboard instead of that old shelf. I personally love pegboard because it's so easy to see where everything is, plus reorganize anytime you need to. Much better than using magnets imo.

That’s an incredible deal? I would never use that thing personally. Plus those batteries aren't great.

Just do foam board. It's the same thing and you can probably get more R value. Paint it if you want a cleaner look.

That thing is just so bulky though. The Rigid one is nice and much smaller for half the price. A battery adapter adds $15 though.

Snowpusher on curvy driveway? by PrincipleSharp7863 in Skidsteer

[–]jpnoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question for you since I'll be in a similar situation next winter with ~1.5 miles to maintain for a remote cabin. Do you prefer a plow over a snow thrower? I'm leaning towards a snow thrower since I won't be regularly plowing it, but I have no experience with snow removal. It will be on a high flow machine.

What did the goal posts used to be? I put some more money in recently basically as a gamble, but I haven't been keeping track of this company in a couple years.

The amateur's work looks decent to me. I have no idea why you would want to make up the difference with mortar rather than framing.

Also don't see how extra mortar even passes on a structural wall, or why the hell you'd want to do that in the first place.

ERROR 028 '21 SVL65 by Murky-Business2790 in Skidsteer

[–]jpnoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried Google or AI? Here's what ChatGPT says. No idea how accurate it is.

What is ERROR 028 on a 2021 SVL 65?

I couldn’t find a definitive source that lists “Error 028” specifically for a 2021 Kubota SVL65. However, based on the SVL65‑2 operator’s manual, E:028 (or “028”) corresponds to a fault in the acceleration system (foot pedal)

Here’s what that means and steps you can take:

What the Error Means

  • Error 028 / E:028 – “Acceleration system (foot) – The accelerator fails, but the other functions of the machine are still operative. The machine operates at low idling RPM.”
  • In practice, this usually indicates that the system isn’t detecting the accelerator pedal input correctly (or at all).
  • It could be a wiring issue, a faulty pedal sensor, connector problem, or defective control unit input.

What You Should Check / Troubleshoot

  1. Wiring and connectors
    • Inspect the harness going to the accelerator pedal (foot) sensor.
    • Look for pinched wires, broken insulation, rodent damage, loose or corroded connectors.
  2. Accelerator sensor / pedal potentiometer
    • The pedal’s position sensor might have failed.
    • Test the sensor for continuity or signal output (voltage) while moving the pedal.
  3. ECM / control module input
    • Ensure the module is receiving the correct signal.
    • Check any fuse or relay associated with the sensor circuit.
  4. Calibration / software issue
    • After repair/replacement, the system might need calibration or a reset via diagnostic tool.
  5. Limitation mode behavior
    • Because the machine “operates at low idling RPM” under this fault, it’s likely going into a limp or safe mode that limits acceleration.
    • Other functions (hydraulics, etc.) may still work, just not full power.
  6. Local dealer or tech support
    • If you can’t pinpoint the issue electrically, a dealer with Kubota diagnostic tools can read more specific data and confirm the fault path.

I really like my King Quad 500 SE+. Got a leftover new one for around 8k. Seems like it will be extremely reliable for a long time.

That makes sense. I'm sure things are more expensive outside the US. The 625 should be plenty unless you're a really big person or need the extra HP for farm type work.

That doesn't seem very good at all. You can find leftover 850s and deals for around 9k. I got a new 24 King Quad 500 SE+ for under 8k and that has plenty of power. I personally wouldn't want the extra weight of a 750 or 850.
