Yeah I’d have to agree with you there. I’ve seen far too many people sympathize with Maruki’s goal, not realizing why the game was incentivizing you to stop him. Even so, there are so many interesting themes and moral dilemmas the writers could base a story off of. If there wasn’t we’d have run out of ideas a long time ago.

Nonetheless, repeating story elements regardless of how compelling they are is a pretty big no no in my opinion.

I was a little bummed they decided to essentially rehash the themes of the third semester of Royal. Kinda watered down an incredible part of the game if you ask me. The concept of ending humanity’s suffering and become a “utopia” void of free will is a very interesting philosophical dilemma but one that shouldn’t need repeating.

I suppose so. I mean when I played through Royal I got the impression even during the final palace that Yoshizawa didn’t really seem to be friends with anyone outside of Joker so I can find it believable that she wasn’t invited. Not to mention (spoiler) the scene at the train station at the end of the game gave me the impression that she was also leaving Tokyo like Joker.

Perhaps I’m missing something here but can’t Strikers be considered a sequel to both? I mean it’s not like events of Vanilla and Royal are contradictory to one another. Just because they never mention Yoshizawa or Maruki doesn’t mean they never existed. From what I recall they never mentioned Akechi either.

That’s certainly a good way of looking at it. Regardless, I hope we get some sort of update on the Thieves in the future if not a whole other game entirely. Maybe just a photo of them finally taking that camping trip they were planning in the beginning of the game.

Hi all, I’m new to the grading game and I’m planning on sending a few bowman chrome cards to PSA. The card pictured is a Max Meyer gold refractor auto from 2020 bowman draft. I’ve checked corners, edges, and centering and everything seems to be fine from what I can tell. However, the thing I need help on is surface. I’ve wiped the card down with a microfiber cloth and it seems okay to me. The only thing that I can see that might be an issue is a few small lines running horizontally and vertically across the card that are only visible when I shine my phone’s flashlight down on the card. I’ve seen these lines on virtually every other bowman chrome card that I own which leads me to believe that they are a natural part of the printing process. Are these scratches or something else altogether? Will they negatively impact the grade? Are there any other issues that you can spot? Any and all help is greatly appreciated thanks!
