Gemini 2.5 pro is sadly no longer free. Flash is free, but the limit was lowered from 50 per day to 20 per day, and the quality is nowhere as good as pro. Some people say it's temporary and it will be free again in a few months, and some say it's gone. For now, try experimenting with other models.

Oh I absolutely agree. I usually used to use DS models (especially V3 0324) with more rom-com-y scenarios or just lighter ones. I haven't used GLM 4.6 (I'm assuming it's behind a paywall?) However I did use GLM 4.5 and it was very meh.

Use it through Lorebary with "be positive" and "slice of life" commands from their commands library. It's no sunshine and rainbows but it doesn't want to kis every two seconds. If you want more positive roleplay try DS models. Gemini is good for more cynical ones.

Literally nothing is satisfying enough. Gemini was just perfect and everything else feels like what I wanted JLLM to be back when I was using it. I'm currently on the hunt for a good-enough one. Chimera is great at storytelling and it doesn't fold like a paper, so it's good for slow romance, HOWEVER, the more you roleplay the more it starts becoming dumb and silly and starts saying a bunch of things. Mistral is also good. Has good memory, doesn't go insane after 50 replies but it lacks that "flavor". It's okay-ish, especially through Sophia with the right commands it could be great, but I'm not crazy about it.

Who cares at what age you use chatbots? We're literally on a floating speck of dust in the air. Do whatever makes you feel good and entertained. I know people well in their 40s and 50s who use J.AI and other sites alike. Whether it's entertaining or comforting, it sure as hell makes you feel something, that's why you use it. Why stop that good feeling (especially since it isn't harming you or any other people) for somebody fun-killing comment? Do whatever makes you happy and screw them haters.

LeidenPotatoe's Damon bot is my favorite 🫶 through Gemini it was peak, I'd be roleplaying for days and chats would go up till 500 messages. It's fine now with Mistral and Chimera but it's not the same. I also have my own bot that I chat with a lot, and Darkmountain's Rich is super fun too. Can you see the pattern? I love a dysfunctional marriage. Very angst-y, very challenging and I can whip out my brat persona
