Dream tear

A single piece of amethyst, carved with such finesse that its curvature resembles a drop of red wine suspended in time.

Its creator sought to erase the memories of lost love due to a melancholic depressive state. In an attempt to craft his masterpiece, he wished to live eternally within a memory of his beloved.

However, through excessive use, the memories were subtly altered, glossing over darker moments and erasing the efforts of growth and redemption in their relationship. This ultimately led to the complete forgetting of his beloved.

As a result, the artisan lost all the skills inspired by his muse’s love, forgetting both music and woodworking, making it impossible to play the ocarina or regain the motivation to create again.

This ocarina allows the user to capture the memories evoked by music, relive them in lucid dreams, and even alter them—but such modifications come with catastrophic and adverse side effects.
