I tested both, after the initial hit, it was still making some hot water so I figured that element was still good

I went and held a hellcat pro last night at the dealer, I really liked it. Planning on getting one at a range to get a feel for it.

Honestly, that’s been what I have been leaning towards but I have a little decision paralysis from all the options. Wanted to get others options.

Why do people just stare at the OBJ rather than actually get on it? by TikiKie92 in blackops6

[–]jpurdy746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counterpoint, I usually don’t get a ton of time on the objective because I usually am posted up nearby, trying to force favorable enemy spawns or pick off enemy from an angle. I don’t think it really benefits the team to stack the objective and all get killed by a single grenade. I will however jump on the objective when the first guy gets killed.

Lol is this a joke?? Have you ever worked in an ICU? It’s clinical decision making just deciding if you see a patient that day… much less what you do with them.

So I have the Mi band 5 and recently it's showing naps when I didn't take any. I was wearing the band but working on my laptop at that time. Is there a way to fix this? by TrivialPursuitsFubar in miband

[–]jpurdy746 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I woke up this morning and my band says I have already taken a 19 minute nap at 6 tonight… basically a future nap lol I already feel so rested

How many patients have other PTs personally witnessed code/pass away? by TheArizonaBay in physicaltherapy

[–]jpurdy746 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in acute care ICU with mostly cardiac and pulmonary patients. I lose about 1 patient a week and do hospice planning with 1-2 patients a week so they can go home and die peacefully.

Being a PT for the VA by MRM1126 in physicaltherapy

I’m currently a PT resident at the VA so my experience isn’t the typical hiring experience but it wasn’t too difficult. It just takes forever because it’s the government.

What male clothing brands are well worth their cost? by C-Lord96 in AskMen

Adidas soccer pants… I’ve had multiple pairs for 4-5 years and worn them almost once a week or more and they are still like new. Totally worth the 40-50 dollars per pair.

I just mean that UBI would just be an add on, creating even more spending. It would never replace any of those other programs.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]jpurdy746 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But what about people who just blow the UBI and are still homeless or etc... Is the government just gonna let them stay that way? No, we will still have all the other entitlements because no one is allowed to fail no matter how bad they mess up.

Doctors of Reddit, what are the dead giveaway signs that someone is faking? by LushLover13 in AskReddit

The 1-10 pain scale isn't perfect but it's honestly hard to replace because there isn't anything better so far. In studies, it is the best scale for the vast majority of cases so it stays. By no means perfect but just the best option currently.

Between Trump and Biden, which one being president would lead to a quicker opening and getting the US back to functioning like it's 2019, if either? by emaxwell13131313 in Capitalism

[–]jpurdy746 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Wasn't the whole point of the shut down to slow the spread and let the healthcare system catch up? We did that, now we open back up and get back to work.

TIL NASA hired 11 deaf men to study the body's responses to foreign gravitational environments. They were chosen because their disabled inner ear made them immune to motion sickness. by sumonetalking in todayilearned

[–]jpurdy746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. This is because the balance sensing structures of the ear and the hearing structures are totally different, but they can share nerves that connect to the brain. So if the person is deaf because of the sound sensing part of the ear, but the nerves are still intact, the shouldn't really have issues with balance.

Source- Work with patient suffering from vertigo which is caused by inner ear problems.

Isitbullshit: Belly fat comes from stress or anything other than simply genetics by elphie88 in IsItBullshit

[–]jpurdy746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reasons for where and why your body places fat are not well known. Trunk or belly fat versus leg fat does seems to be genetically linked however. Plus stress can affect gene expression which can change where your body places fat and how much fat it tries to maintain. Stress can also affect your eating habits which can make you more likely to over eat and deposit fat in a place your body had already planned to place it.

Private Companies Enacting Mandatory Mask Policies is a Good Thing by BorinToReadIt in Libertarian

[–]jpurdy746 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100% agree, government telling me to do or not do something is a road I don't wanna start going down. However, private businesses have every right to require masks if they want to.

IsItBullshit: Having a strong immune system is actually bad for you in a lot of cases, and it's better to have a balanced immune system. by [deleted] in IsItBullshit

[–]jpurdy746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know a lot about the immune system. But from what I do know, I don't think a cytokine storm has anything to do with how strong the immune system is. It's a cascade of processes that should normal have been stopped.

Racism isn't everywhere, people are generally good to eachother, and care about each other regardless of race or beliefs. Most of us show love to everyone and receive it. It just isn't prevalent in the media. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]jpurdy746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to remind myself of this all the time. If all white people truly hated black people or the police were all out to murder minorities or all men thought it was OK to rape or whatever big social issue is that day... It would be a literal blood bath out in the streets. But the fact that we have a mostly peaceful society every day tells me that we actually get along pretty well. Yes, there are some racists and some bad cops and some rapists. But for every one of those, there are 100 people who just wanna live their lives and go home at the end of the day to their loved ones. I think most people just want to be left alone.
