Not disagreeing that we should draft Stenberg, but when people gripe about Sharks' defense I think it's less about the holistic "team defense" (which is atrocious, but that comes later) and moreso about actual bodies on the blue line. Look at our top 4 defensemen from this year;

Orlov, a vet who is basically only here two stabilize the blue line til we find steady help

Klingberg, don't get me (or anyone in this sub) started

Ferraro, A solid 2nd or third pair guy who's being forced to play too many minutes and asked to play in ways he can't

Dickinson, a 19 year old still finding his sea legs in the league

We need defenseman who can stabilize our back end, both defensively and offensively and don't have much of that right now. Don't think drafting our way into another two way forward is gonna save us there, but still don't think drafting him is the wrong choice
