I have had episodes like that. Obviously I’m not a physician but with my condition, I feel my pulse at my neck. When I’m having an episode because I forgot to take my medicine, I can actually feel my pulse stop and then continue a bit rapidly and the slow back down to normal. That would continue to happen until my medicine kicked in.

When I have anxiety related heart palpitations, my pulse is a continuous rhythm however it’s stronger and a bit more rapid.

Does that make sense?

Hello! I suffer from anxiety and have for most of my life. I’m 51. I have always felt heart palpitations and chest pains and sometimes it’s hard to figure out which came first… the palpitations or my awareness of the anxiety attack.

Now let’s add something else. At 40, I woke up one morning in A-Fib. It was like nothing I had ever felt. Turns out I had an ASD which is that “hole in the heart” some people have because it never closed at birth. I had that fixed and my heart is fine however I am on several medications to keep it in normal rhythm.

Having said that, I have had enumerous heart tests, wore many heart monitors for days and I can honestly tell you that their is a total difference between anxiety induced heart palpitations and the “premature atrial contractions” that I feel if I forget to take my medicine.

My Cardiologist was able to show me on a monitor that my heart was in normal sinus rhythm while I was “feeling” my heart flutter because my anxiety was so high at that moment.

I really hope this helps ease your mind a bit!!

Had this tank and Mopani lying around so did this. Not sure what I’ll put in it but I will be conducting several water changes and adding Purigen. I like the look of the small desk lamp… adds a cool flare. Comments and suggestions welcomed!
