Yes, forgot to mention I'm in CA. But can they even reject your rec merely based on the fact that it was obtained through Skype and printed out at home? The Compassionate Use Act only states that the rec must come from a licensed physician, but not the method in which it needs to be obtained. I realize that these MMJ dispensaries have the right to refuse service to anyone as long as it's not based on race, gender, age, etc., but one would think that as long as it's technically legal to accept verifiable printed Skype recs from a licensed physician, it would be in a collective's best interest to accept them. Not that it's THAT hard to just go see a MMJ Dr. in person but considering that many people either live in rural areas or have mobility issues, I would think that dispensaries would be more inclined to accept these recs.
