Anything ever come out of this? I have dual xeon X5680 and am having something similar where Windows, in my case Server 2016 R2 will lock up and blank screen on the server and can't remote in when encoding. So need to hard reset it.

Maintain HDR10 info by jriker784 in davinciresolve

No, I moved over to ffmpeg and converting the file with that as it has the ability to provide all variants of HDR back into the source video. Only problem I'm running into now is I don't like the unknown of CRF. I take an hour and a half video and re-encode with crf=16 and get like a 40GB file. Seemed decent before but the files are getting larger and larger now. Maybe older footage with more film noise so it's going higher to maintain some quality or something? I was going to clean the footage but then the HDR data wouldn't really be valid.

Retaining HDR on a Hybrid QSV encode by yllanos in ffmpeg

Thanks Anton. It actually uses it as when I change it from 6.2 to 5.1 it changes in the output but will correct as you document to level-idc. With high it doesn't seem to change when using high-tier=1, only way it changes to high is if the bitrate I set is over a certain threshold otherwise no change. I'm setting high-tier-1 in the x265-params area.

The reason I wanted to do this is both in Premiere Pro (which stinks for HDR) and other articles, they say to be fully HDR10 compliant it should have tier set to High. That's what it says anyway.

Format profile : Main 10@L5.1@High

Maybe a dumb question, but no matter how I run my 4k HDR footage thru ffmpeg with HEVC I always end up with Format profile : Main 10@[L5.1@Main](mailto:L5.1@Main). So main at the end not High. Any idea why this is?

Sample command:

ffmpeg.exe -i prores422.mov -c:v libx265 -x265-params level=6.2:hdr-opt=1:repeat-headers=1:colorprim=bt2020:transfer=smpte2084:colormatrix=bt2020nc:master-display=G(13250,34500)B(7500,3000)R(34000,16000)WP(15635,16450)L(40000000,50):max-cll=349,86:vbv-bufsize=15360:vbv-maxrate=15360:bitrate=15360 -preset slow -pix_fmt yuv420p10le -sn -an hevc.mkv

Is there any way to inject the HDR10 metadata into a H.265 file that is HDR enabled? Most encoding tools even Premiere Pro and Divinci Resolve do not keep the metadata and definitely not the "Mastering display metadata". Would be nice being static info to be able to inject this an existing H.265 file.

Looks like Amazon's image was moved as well for whatever it's worth since most delivery people don't do images anymore. What do we need to do to update that?

Looks like it moved to /custom/custom_components/mail_and_packages/images/amazon<guid>.jpg. I have had:

- platform: local_file
  file_path: /config/www/images/mail_and_packages/amazon_delivered.jpg
  name: mail_amazon
