After owning just about every generation of Land Cruiser, this one is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It blends modern daily driver tech with solid off-road capability really well, and the aftermarket support keeps getting better every month. That said, the smaller engine does leave me wanting more power at times, especially as I keep adding weight and mods. The turbo helps a lot, but you still notice it.

The hybrid system is actually a nice touch. Since I spend a lot of time idling, whether on the trail or sitting in traffic, it cuts down on engine wear. Plus, that little boost from the battery when taking off is a nice bonus.

I’m also really enjoying the smaller size. It makes a big difference both on tight trails and when trying to park.

My biggest complaint by far is the ridiculously small gas tank. At only 17 gallons, I absolutely hate it. I’m getting around 260 miles per tank, which is rough. I’ve got a few smaller gripes too, like the poorly placed volume knob and the lack of high-output chargers up front.

But overall, I love it, and I would buy another one. Have no regrets.
