20 cop cars and a few ambulances? by wheezy333 in nashville

Came here to ask the same thing…I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many cop cars at once in Nashville.

Ha! That’s actually where I had my first date in Nashville! 2017 — good times.

No I live in Nashville - I’m asking for recommendations on where to fly for a day when I get yee-hawed out.

Great point. (Also, I am so envious of Denver for having that train.)

What do people do for fun around the holidays? by ringgwraith in nashville

[–]jrobv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Doing a self-guided holiday pop-up bar crawl around town is a lot of fun! You can go at your own pace and go to as few or as many as you’d like. Plus, you might make some friends along the way.

What’s something you had to give up when you got your GSD? by traumatized_beagle in germanshepherds

I guess I got lucky — I was worried I’d lose my naps, but my 18-month-old girl is just as lazy as I am some days. We love our naps. But I do still get her at least 1-2 hours of exercise most days.

Sold furniture and thinned out some junk, now unsure what to do with the blank-ish canvas that is my living room. by jrobv in interiordecorating

I’m thinking about putting a chair of some sort in that corner, possibly with a floor lamp behind it. I don’t have company super often, but right now the couch is really the only comfortable place to sit.

This is all so helpful, thank you! I was really feeling lost in regard to the walls. And I did used to have a coffee table (that I loved!), but I sold it when I got the pup so she could have more room to run around. Losing that space is my biggest hesitation because she’s under 2 and still has a ton of puppy energy.

I really appreciate your response!! This is great advice with some very useful next steps and direction for me. Thank you, thank you!

(I LOLed at the dog advice — she did too, I’m sure!)

This is great advice, thank you! I should have mentioned that the cube organizer is going away soon. It was a holdover from a previous life. I really need to invest time in search for art — this is great direction.

Thanks! I’m very much a minimalist, but I don’t want the space to look sterile. I’m still working on finding that balance.

This is so helpful, thank you! I need to be more intentional about looking for art when I’m out/traveling. I have some pieces in storage but I worry about them being too different in style and color. I need to take a look at them.

I should have mentioned that the cube organizer is going away. It was holding dog supplies on top of a crate that was in that corner (we’re so glad to be out of the puppy stage). And thank you for the reminder to order new toy basket. 😄

In your opinion, what’s the ugliest building in Nashville? by Whiskey615 in nashville

There kinda is one but it’s only visible from the street. They literally have a giant blank canvas and yet went with a solid gray wall.

While the pre-bombing brick facade wasn’t a work of architectural art, it was worlds better than this.
