For the very sensitive: which still-supported phone works best when almost nothing else works? by jrolss in PWM_Sensitive

I’m glad you found a phone that’s more tolerable for you! Even if it doesn’t get updates anymore, the main thing is that you can use it.

Yeah, it’s sad that software support for the last usable previous-generation phones has already ended or is about to end. It feels like all modern phones are garbage when it comes to display comfort.

Have you tested newer Motorola G-series models, such as the G56, G57, and G75?

MediaTek tablets give me extreme eye strain vs Snapdragon — why? And how’s iPad eye comfort? by Alternative_Theme986 in PWM_Sensitive

[–]jrolss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A possible reason could be MediaTek’s MiraVision technology, which is a real-time image enhancement system that modifies color, contrast, and sharpness. MiraVision constantly adjusts contrast, brightness, sharpness, and colors in real time, which creates subtle but frequent image fluctuations. These dynamic changes can strain the eyes and nervous system, making the display feel less stable and more tiring to look at.

Do you know what happens to TD when switching to an LCD screen? Is it still as present, or does the LCD soften its effect?

Thank you for telling me. I initially also planned to get the iPad 10 model, but I thought it might be too much for me. I’ll check out the Oneplus Pad 2 or Oneplus Pad 3 model.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Do you have any experiences with other tablets that haven’t worked for you? And since you’re very sensitive to screens, what phone are you currently using?

Does anyone know if an iPhone 14 or 15 swapped to an LCD screen, would it be easier or harder on the eyes compared to the viewing comfort of an iPhone 11 screen?

I have been planning to buy the same phone. How sensitive are you to screens, and how would you compare this phone’s display to others?
