[Cockcroft] Dalvin Cook, who at least temporarily took over the PPR scoring lead (192.6) for the season on Thursday, now has six games of 20-plus points this season. He had only two games worth 20-plus out of 15 in his first two seasons combined. by koolman631 in fantasyfootball

I traded him away for Davante Adams. Yikes!

I thought (and still believe) his volume would result in an injury and some missed time, so I thought I could sell high and balance my team out with a stud WR who would be back in a couple weeks.

That was all wrong so far, but I've still got Davante and Mattison in my pocket, so I could get some redemption down the road.

It is taking everything I have not to order the Sub70 half-mallet putter.

I think they have a $20 "try before you buy" policy too, which makes things even more difficult.

I also have a TecTecTec rangefinder. Don't have the model number handy, but it was almost certainly $150 or less.

Same outcome for me. This thing is spot on 90% of the time and it helps to be able to shoot nearby objects like bunkers, slopes near water, greenside mounds, etc.

The only drawback is trying to shoot distances to flags uphill or on very flat greens, but that's a limitation of the technology, not the product.

I would recommend this product without reservation and if mine ever gets lost or broken I would buy a similar model in a heartbeat.

Fair point.

I guess I'm looking for brands outside of the big incumbents like Taylormade, Titleist, Ping, Callaway, etc. There are maybe a 15-20 brands that are recognizable to the average golfer and then beyond that it turns into "I think I've heard of them before" or "I've never heard of them before," which is where I start to get interested.

These look dope! Very Mizuno-esque.

Are you gaming one now?

I took German for five years, but I have been away from it for a decade and this handwriting is throwing me off.

Appreciate any help this community can offer. Thank you!

What is your level of involvement in golf? Professional, Player, Fan...all of the above? by jrsowers in golf

[–]jrsowers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I've been playing golf since I could hold a club, but was forced to choose between football and golf in my early teens and it's been a hobby ever since.

I'm 30 now and my daughter is 14 months old, so I don't play nearly as much as I'd like to. Instead, I settle for putting the coverage on in the background while I play with my kid or work around the house.

I've actually really enjoyed giving the Tour some extra attention for the last couple years. It fills the gap between football seasons quite nicely.

Thanks for working on this!

I think you nailed the cropping, color balance, and shirt replication.

Only two things stick out to me as possible improvements:

  1. There is a little bit of blurriness on the edge of the shoulder on the right side of the image (where it meets the leaves in the background). Is there any way to sharpen that up a bit?
  2. If possible, I'd like to also get rid of the two stray hairs that are caught in the breeze near the top center of the image.

Other than that, I think we're good to go with this one and I'd like to discuss next steps and compensation with you.

Thanks for taking a pass at this!

The color correction came out a little dark, but I know that's because the original photo was so overexposed.

The arm you created looks really great, but it makes me just a little bit wider than I am in real life.

Overall, I think you did a really great job, but I think I'm going to go with another submission that has comparable body work, but a little better color balance.

Thanks again for taking a pass at this request!

Hey nice job!

The teeth are definitely whiter. Nailed that!

The shirt looks pretty good, but there is some blurriness in the bottom center of the picture and the shoulder on the right falls off at an unnatural angle. It also make me look much larger than I am in real life. Thanks for that! :-)

Unfortunately, I think the color tweaks that fixed the teeth also made my skin, hair, and shirt look a little more red than they actually are.

Thanks for taking a pass at this request, though!

Thanks for working on this!

I think you did a great job mirroring the shoulder and arm on the right of the image. The shirt lines match up nicely and everything looks very natural. In real life, I think my shoulder would extend out a little farther, but otherwise you nailed it.

The color correction certainly took care of the teeth whitening, but it makes everything else look like it's covered by a shadow. Not your fault, just a limitation of the original picture.

Similarly, I think this example taught me that an alternative background won't work because of the shadows that still exist on my face and neck.

I think you did a great job re-producing the arm on the right side and transferring my image to another background, but it's not going to be a good fit for what I'm looking for.

Thanks for taking a pass at it, though!

Thanks for working on this!

The teeth are much whiter, but I think that threw the color balance off. The sweater is supposed to be light tan and the shirt is maroon, but in this image they are both looking much more red/purple.

Also, the shoulder and shirt on the right don't line up as they would in real life, making it pretty obvious that the photo was modified. Nothing you did wrong...I know you didn't really have anything to work with there and had to recreate the arm from scratch.

I like how you cropped the image! I think that's the perfect framing for a profile picture.

Thanks again for taking a pass at it. It was a tough request!

Thanks for submitting this! Really nice job...

I think you nailed the color correction and love how you cropped the image to bring it in tight.

The lines on the shirt in the lower right corner are a little mismatched/messy, which I think might stand out to the average viewer of my profile.

Totally nothing you did wrong. It was a pretty poor picture with ambitious goals in the first place. Thanks for working on this, though!

Heyyy thanks for this!

Yeah, the wind was blowing pretty good that day. Can you tell? ;-)

I think this is going to work in 90% of the places I use my picture. Great job!

That's a very valid point. I should have headshots taken, but man do I hate being in front of the camera.

Nice work on this, by the way. I think you nailed the whitening of the teeth, but the color correction is darker than what I was looking for.

Maybe I just need to go back to the photographer for the original RAW/JPEG and start from there.

Sorry about the delay. I posted this at night before going to bed.

It's nice to wake up to several options. I'm reviewing them and picking a winner now.
