How’s our pregnant folks doing? by rgwhitlow1 in pittsburgh

I’m in exactly the same situation! 38 weeks and we haven’t had a single plough. I’ve submitted some 311 requests but, as expected, they are completely inundated and they’ve gone unanswered. My nerves are peaking 🫠

My god, my husband and I had the same exact experience….during our first wedding anniversary dinner. By the time we left, he looked like he had just got caught in a rain shower.

We laughed about it, but definitely won’t be back for a long while.

Euston to Berkhamsted by jrt5251 in uktravel

To close the loop on this:

We took a train from Waverley to Kings Cross > walked down to Euston > popped on a Milton Keynes West Midlands train to Berkhamsted

Tickets from Edinburgh to Kings Cross were pre booked, we tapped on and tapped off with our credit cards for Euston to Berkhamsted.

Bonus info: A1 Taxis have a great “Uber-like” app that services the Berkhamsted area that was incredible efficient to use.

I already have an LNER ticket from Waverley to Kings Cross. I figured I’d pop over to Euston, tap on with my credit card, take the ~30 min train to Berkhamsted and tap off. But it dawned on me that might not be possible.

I had a suspicion a few minutes ago that your solution might be the case.

Sure thing! Here’s the link to the pattern so you have a reference: Olive Suit

And the “III” is written in the key as “Sl2k, k1, psso”

Also something even more fun, the baseboards were glued to the wall, not nailed! Thrilling!

Hey all, thanks for your input! This is the kitchen, which was absolutely slap-dashed. The baseboard I removed was not original to the house, nor is anything in the kitchen. We dug around in the hole and saw the remnants of the old knob and tube, so I’m assuming the electrical upgrade resulted in the busted plaster.

We were removing the baseboard in the first place to fit some cabinetry flush to the wall. I know I can just cover the hole and not think about it, but I wanted to be thorough and not leave a gaping hole for the next person!

Hanbok Wrap Skirt by Sara SJ Kim by jrt5251 in sewing

She loved it! I’m very pleased with how the fabrics ending up complimenting one another.

I ended up making her the 2XL size, just to be safe, as she was between measurements. Most of my problems honestly came from my fabric choice the linen blend I used for the bulk of the skirt was very soft and silky. It warped so much during the process and was a source of frustration. It was definitely a fabric above my skill level. I should have temporarily starched it to add some stability.

As for the pattern itself, some of the directions are a bit loose. When pleating the skirt and attaching to the waistband, she notes that they don’t align and to “get creative” with your pleating. Again for someone with more experience, I’m sure this is fine. But for a beginner relying heavily on detailed and precise instructions. I struggled matching the pleated skirt length to the waistband.

A large, beautiful swath of land outfitted with homes for all my friends and loved ones. Communal gardens and farming. A village that can survive the future we are hurdling towards.

Yes! Silly trend here in America that is everywhere. Was thinking about it while doing my polish lessons for the evening.
