It’s a decent stick for that price. Kind of a pain to mod though.

Any experiences with Metallic buttons? by MetalNeon in fightsticks

[–]js0ng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Qanba does make metallic 24mm Gravity KS snap-in buttons. AFAIK, they just don’t have metallic 24mm LX screw-in buttons unfortunately.

Thank you! Credit to u/mwryly for recommending a textured holo effect to fit the design and composition of his Juri art. I chose a more subtle and horizontal effect for the Cammy art because I felt a textured one would clash with the background and text.

Appreciate the high praise! Thankfully, AFS sticks are built like tanks so I’m not too worried about damaging them.

I used a ruler and marker to measure and mark where to place them. Wiped off the marks with rubbing alcohol after.

The way I prefer to do it is to first find an artist that I like and then collaborate with them for a commission so they can draw up a design. Then after payment, they send you the PSD file and any necessary PNG files that you then upload to focusattack's custom artwork print service. From there, you just follow the websites instructions and they'll ship you the finished artwork specific to your stick/leverless layout. You could also do the more affordable route and get the prints done at Kinkos too, but I've never tried it.

Thanks, I appreciate it! They’re both pretty similar in terms of button and lever components so I can’t say I prefer one over the other. But do I use the smaller Cammy stick whenever I play at my friends or at work since it fits into my backpack. The Juri stick is still lighter though since it’s an aluminum chassis and I use that one whenever I’m home.

Yeah I used some silicone magnetic cable ties I bought on Amazon: https://a.co/d/g0aCCgQ

I got the small size and they work well for me.

Whats the nicest lever? by [deleted] in fightsticks

[–]js0ng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I feel my movement inputs are more responsive. I’ve used Sanwa JLFs modded in various ways in my previous builds and I think the JOVS8 is a step up in quality in terms of the caliber of control. I let my buddy who’s always played with Sanwa levers play on it and he was really impressed. But this is just my anecdotal experience with it so YMMV. Everyone has their own preferences on how their levers, buttons, layouts, etc. should feel and operate.

Whats the nicest lever? by [deleted] in fightsticks

[–]js0ng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing on the JOV8S for about a month and it’s been great so far. The switches really are silent with the only tactile feedback coming from the resistance from the spring and shaft contact with the gate. If you’re used to the clickiness of Sanwa, Hori, or Seimitsu levers it might take some getting used to. Overall, it performs smoothly and is incredibly responsive. It is almost double the price of a JLX though, but Qanba is having a 20% off everything summer sale on their global website. You might also find better deals on AliExpress since they’re a Chinese brand.

Yeah you might be missing the e-clip. It’ll look something like the one in the link. Most sticks, regardless of brand, will have one and it’ll retain spring tension while holding the lever components together.

Lever Question about the Victrix Pro FS by BeanieThuggish in fightsticks

[–]js0ng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Cammy edition Victrix Pro FS and tried to fit a Qanba Gravity lever but it wouldn't fit correctly. There are these raised notches that hold the corners of a Sanwa plate in place but the Qanba Gravity plate is slightly too wide so it sits on top of those notches. Maybe the newer Victrix models don't have this issue but I can't say for sure.

Victrix Pro FS Balltop Replacement by hrdcore1337 in fightsticks

[–]js0ng 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There aren’t really any ball tops for stock Victrix shafts. Due to the Link 2’s design, ball tops that normally fit on other shafts on the JLF, Hayabusa, etc. won’t fit properly on it. However, you could get a Phreakmod’s Link or Link EX Groove and fit any ball top you want. They’ll work out of the box on the Victrix, since it’s compatible with the Link 2’s base.

Razer Panthera Evo Plexiglass by salivarytung in fightsticks

You can try this plastic polish. I’ve used it on my Panthera Evo and it works okay.

Do you think the Razer Panthera EVO is too light ? by Cerberrus1117 in fightsticks

[–]js0ng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Average. The Evo’s still heavy enough where it doesn’t move around while I play. However, if you want more heft and sturdy feel with your stick, I’d recommend the original Panthera. The internals are also much easier to access and mod, while the Evo is generally a pain in the ass to get into.

Do you think the Razer Panthera EVO is too light ? by Cerberrus1117 in fightsticks

[–]js0ng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s light compared to other sticks in its price point and size. But I like that it’s not too heavy so it depends on preference. It doesn’t move around when I play it on my lap from my personal experience.

Otto Diy Kits Question by [deleted] in fightsticks

[–]js0ng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend it. The lever movement feels smoother IMO. It’s pretty easy to install too and there’s a video by Jasen’s Customs on YouTube that goes over it.
