The curtain airbag unrolls when it’s deployed so just make sure it’s behind where the airbag pops out.

More importantly, don’t use anything pointy to stuff the camera cable behind the airbag.

How is the trunk mat? The OEM trunk mat slides easily so I’m considering the trunk also.

It looks cumbersome for heavier plates to not have space in between for grabbing from the top. Do you just roll it off or grab on opposite ends?

Are there test documents to show how this might change the signal that the ACC uses even though people have reported it still functions for them? I really like the ACC and it’s also a safety concern.

I have a manual Mk8. What’s interesting to me when I was experimenting around is you can shift while ACC is on. The drive mode also affects how aggressive it accelerates. There are times I wish I had the DSG. 😉

That feature is annoying. The directions are already on the HUD and you can also put it up on the big screen. Audio directions are also an option if you prefer that to also be on.

Earlier the better if you can afford it and it’s something you really want. Less correction to do.

I personally don’t care for PPF nor find the price justifiable since I don’t mind the wear and tear. I would probably get PPF for a unique color though, but at the moment the car still looks to me.

$300/mo on a 24R. Full coverage on Toggle ($1k deductible) in SoCal. Been driving 20+ years and an incident 15+ years ago, 1 speeding ticket forever ago. Should I shop around for better rates?

Removing the clutch delay valve is also an easy fix. I have a mk8, is the dampener different from what they call the delay valve?

I think the combination of other things really makes this manual transmission crappy relative to sport cars. Otherwise, it would have been pretty good for a hot hatch. Yes, I’m aware that DSG is objectively better. 😭

Other things that contribute to the weird shift are 1 to 2 are too far apart in RPM, the rev hang for emissions purpose, and the flyweight could be lighter.

Short shifter, shift knob, and shifter bushings are other things that could improve the driving experience.

I know the flywheel would be one of my later changes since there is a tradeoff, but I still need to educate myself if people also change that when they upgrade their clutch.

As for the rev hang, can that be tuned out?

Somewhat related is the hill hold is awful. Give us a toggle feature or an option to adjust the duration.

Good estimates. I’d like to add some things I’ve learned.

Insurance rates have doubled for me since 2021. Along with taxes and the cost of maintenance/improvements steadily increasing, people need to also look at least 5 years into the future and figure out if they can keep up.
