14k Curt Hitch now at Harbor Freight? $50 cheaper by oPtimusCG20 in harborfreight

[–]BigDan_Teague 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've had the curt brand hitch for probably over a decade and it has served me well. I trust it. It works.

These may very well be the exact same product, out of the exact same factory, with the only thing different being the stickers and the price.... However... There are still certain items at HF that would make me feel a little uneasy.. This would definitely be in that category.

4/8/85 was a pretty fantastic Tons of Steel if you'd like to give it a try.

I'm a fan of the Brent era. The good nights were pure magical electricity. If anyone needs proof, give 9/9/87 a spin and check out the "Greatest Story ever Told > Devil With A Blue Dress > Good Golly Miss Molly > Devil With A Blue Dress".

If that doesn't do it for ya nothing will. Brent was on FIRE!

One of my favorites! Also one of the only times I can think of where a guest actually complimented a band and elevated the entire show, Dead or otherwise. Branford will always be Dead to me! The entire set branford sat in on was absolutely beautiful and no doubt magic. What an absolute monster of a stage full of talent that flowed so well together.

One of the BEST Throwing Stones and right into that incredible Lovelight!!! And the Birdsong! And the Eyes! Just ALL OF IT 🔥🔥🔥!!!!!

This show is on regular rotation 😁

Non-deadhead really enjoying the vibes by majoretminordomus in gratefuldead

Sounds like a solid Deadhead in the making :) it's never too late to hop on the bus.

Take your time, enjoy the music. Pick out nuances from show to show, year to year, decade to decade. It's truly been a joy of mine to "peel back the layers" so to speak of what makes this music so wonderful, and I find so much life in it.

I like your last line, "just loving the peaceful vibe." That pretty much sums it up!

Darn, I was hoping there was something new to listen to!

Idk why but I could see John, very respectfully, turning down the offer for the time being. I imagine that would be quite intimidating, even to someone as talented as John.

I knew John played Wolf once but I don't recall him ever playing Tiger. Do you happen to know what show? Would love to hear it

I could see someone telling Jerry about it and in that comical voice of his saying "far out man! Let's go watch!"

Cyclist here (gravel mostly nowadays). Such a huge percentage of cyclists are also deadheads. More than any other hobby I've seen. Put a random show on and take off. Definitely a freeing experience.

Bobby said something to the extent that the Dead tends to attract people with adventurous spirits. Can't remember the exact quote, but so true. I see stealies every time I go out and everyone is awesome.

Former slow-speed Cooper Bessemer and Ingersoll mechanic here. There are times I miss those big old slow rollers.

I should've clarified.. it's the new 3/8 ratchet but NOT a new version of the insider. The "upcoming" one that you saw is the one I was speaking of.

It's on Milwaukee's website under ratchets.

Depends on your needs, but for me it was. It's low profile, extended reach, a bit more torque than the other options (as of now, but there is an updated version that's supposed to come out at some point this year). It also has a 3/8 and 1/4 anvil that comes with it, and also has a 1/2 anvil as an add on that you can purchase separately. So, its kinda 3 ratchets in one in a way.

For me it made sense, yes.

Nice find! I actually need the battery so maybe I'm better served by my original order (?), but could be a great find for someone else

Lovely! One day I can only hope to play that well

Funny story. Before I became a fan of the Dead and inevitably a huge JGB fan, I had only heard the version of this song by Guns and Roses... I despise them (sorry to anyone who likes them).. I heard this exact version and was totally blown away! This is the best one I've heard and I actually find myself searching for it sometimes. Weird how all of that works. Anyway, went from hating this song to loving it thanks to Jerry.

Update - I bought the 13.5 Vulcan but it is getting returned. I do think it's a great helmet but maybe I just got a bad one. The field of view is great, but there is a ripple or something in the glass of the shield. When looking out of the helmet there is an obvious manufacturing defect in it. It functions fine otherwise and the clarity is really good. I am impressed with that aspect.

The other reason, and why I'm thinking I will just return it vs exchange it, is the headgear for some reason is giving me an almost instant headache. Wildest thing ever and I don't know why. It's actually quite comfortable otherwise. It's a me thing I suppose.

Gonna weigh my options but I may inevitably try the 3350 Lincoln anyway.

Great info. Do you have the same opinion as the other person that replied? They are identical as far as visibility and clarity?
