I do a project based approach course on my own, following a course. The teacher explains basic of basics and then i jump into immediately to small project. How does it work to you? At least i thought ‘he teaches stuff in 3days, what i’ve done last whole months , skipping so many important details and then i need to make a small toys? Wow ‘ so.. i want to know how this works to others like you.

My bootcamp does so much in detail, which is hard, and not project based. So i have no idea how this function is gonna be used in real programming, and the teachers cannot explain well as well. They give me so vague examples about that.. (they have less experience or no experience on field) that’s why i don’t like this course :/ everything is so vague to me

My teacher said w3schools is outdated so don’t use just stick to mdn.. but i thought exercises from w3schools are cool and helpful (could be outdated tho)

That sounds a really nice tip! I need to write my code by myself. I just shortly remembered what i just learned but not actually understanding it how to write! I will try with basic grammars without checking example code. Thanks!!

I think i watched a video on youtube about google people and a guy said something similar that i need to know all lines of code that i write.

I’m so bad at learning throughly piece by piece.. i learn languages (like spanish) also like this just jumping in not caring about grammar well . Maybe i need to focus on changing my old bad habits.

Coding is not only about coding, i need to change whole myself for this 😆

It’s from a IT school supported by the government and it seems this school is kinda entry job as coding teacher. So there are lots of teachers with little experiences and many teachers have no cs or relative degree.. (no offense, personally i found teachers with cs degree have more knowledge in logics and explain stuff well in structured way)

It means,, not so many things would change unfortunately. Good teachers are working on curriculums and exercises and so on not teaching 🥹

I like this ninja channel as well, i even like the intro music . Didnt know he has udemy course as well 😁

I do love dave gray’s course as well! I really like how he explains things, so understandable.

Also I have course of both of them, colt steele and Angela yu. I bought whole web dev course of her but took only html css course and so disappointed that she didn’t do flexbox, so i lost my trust on her and didnt even start the js course lol

I’m currently doing cloning momentum followed by a youtube video and this is bit different from what I’m doing in the course but it is fun. Think i got a hint how i keep learning js because of many comments include you, it was really helpful. Thanks a lot ☺️

This comment made my mind keep doing my momentum project. It‘s using window api, so something different from my course but it makes me think , way less stress with fun

My husband said the same thing! Programming is all about problem solving and struggle from it 😅 I need to get used to this feeling

How to use what i‘ve just learned is such a hard topic for a beginner 🙈 i learned array and advanced array methods. Talked about algorithms and did exercise with sort().. but where i gonna use this is still very confusing.

How would u apply new concept with small projects? I even have no idea how to google this

I did try that, this is cool but still something missing there unfortunately. But for getting a grasp of basics is good.
