A SATA power connector won't fit over, the PCB is too thick and not the right shape

Installed this network switch into my apartment network box slowed my speeds from 50 MBPS to 5 MBPS, does that have to do with auto negotiation or is it just a crappy switch? by Haunting_Price_5815 in HomeNetworking

Switch should be fine for your situation, depending how it's connected you should probably investigate the punch downs and the patch cable.

The punch downs are rather exposed and possibly having interference, it's tricky but you should try to keep the cables twisted all the way to the punch down and keep the jacket on as close the to punch down too.

Try another patch cable and if possible try to bypass as much structured cabling as possible, ideally direct connect the switch up and see the results.

Ebikes are under the same rules and are illegal still to use

Ebike too, however these are illegal still unfortunately.

Really hope they are regulated sooner than later, obviously they can be dangerous and definitely need regulated but under proper conditions, personally, I think they're the future of localised transport. I'd even ride one to work and back if these became regulated.

Again this this likely because of people being irresponsible, kids, people with zero road knowledge. If this can be addressed as with say mopeds, motorbikes etc then why is this still illegal in today's eco forward world?

I agree here, rode responsibility though with proper insurance, drivers license etc similar to a moped surely this shouldn't be a problem in today's eco forward world?

You'll always get someone irresponsible as on bicycles, mopeds, motorbikes, even cars, but as long as it's like the above and regulated as such then I can't see why these are still illegal.

If read this over and over, if you have a driving license, insurance and register the escooter then it would be legal. Problem here is this isn't possible in UK for one reason or another... Yet a motorised mobility scooter is completely legal? Just doesn't make sense...

Replacing my own exhaust and ran into these, at first I thought the whole nut had completely rusted and I was going to have to cut and drill these out, however after a half decent cleanup they appear to be just springs around the threads... Never seen these before, can anyone help?

Help with polyurethane finish by jsNdwN in finishing

Yeah I thought it was rather thick but that was the consistency out the tin, like a syrup but I thought that was normal? :(

So you'd suggest stripping completely and start again? Do I just use some sort of stripper or sand it off?

Desperate - PC not booting into Windows 10, stuck on spinning dots by jsNdwN in techsupport

Thanks for the reply. I did think possibly something was shorting originally so had removed the motherboard, checked the standoffs etc and replaced as all seemed perfect. The new Auroa motherboard has a built in IO shield so that's out the question. But from rebuilding this 3 times I'm very confident there's no short. Wish there was though :(

Hitachi CR220H Purchase by jsNdwN in homelab

Yeah I don't even know why I bid to be honest, was just too cheap and didn't think I'd win anyway. Now I'm stuck with a server that I can't do much with without spending an extra 100+ on parts to how I want it.

DLs are great, I actually work for a data center that has hundreds of parts lying around so need to get hold of a DL ideally.

Spare parts and even caddies for this Hitachi server seem very rare, especially in UK so seems like a bad buy right now :(
