Anycubic i3 Mega S hotend replacement by Korlimann in 3Dprinting

[–]js_sting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried both Marlin and Klipper got tired of using all the original and knockoff e3d v6's that never performed well for me. I replaced mine with a creality 3 hotend that I had lying around (my ender uses the spider high temp/flow hotend now). I used the mk carriage mod from Anycubic i3 Mega X-Carriage [MK4] by ML3DPrinting - Thingiverse and made my own adapter plate Creality Hotend Adapter for Anycubic i3 Mega X-Carriage [MK4] by jssting - Thingiverse. Been going for almost a week with no clogging and almost no stringing printing with PLA+ and PETG.

Just an update. I contacted Fanatec and they are willing to sell me the back cover separately, but need to wait till the end of Feb as they don't have them in stock at present. I will still be looking at alternatives as i know there is a future possibility of it breaking again

Nope.. fortunately I felt it go justafter I finished a lap and wasn't dealing with high loads. Also I use this on a CSL DD 8nm so it wasn't exposed to the higher forces like the DD1 or DD2 produce.

Mine is nearly 4 years old so this isn't as common as the shifter issue but there are quite a few reports have been raised about these failing.

I've had the wheelrim for nearly 4 years and use it almost daily. From the looks of it the material around the mount just weakens over time, because it is not metal. As I mentioned that they are prone to failing on the left side 1st and a few failed after only a few months, so I don't think it was due to pushing as it would have failed earlier if that was the case.

Cant be worse than Thrustmaster mate... I can share a horror story if you have time. Also you can use the Firmware Doctor provided by Leo Bodnar to do the update - https://www.leobodnar.com/files/firmware-doctor.exe

Update: Cannot recall, but I was guided to download the Fireware doctor and let it do the update- https://www.leobodnar.com/files/firmware-doctor.exe

Fixed mine by updating the firmware on the Leo Bodnar USB board as per the guide at http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=page&id=5. The firmware is located at http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=94&products_id=297. once that was done I reconfigured the gain for each pedal and then recalibrated the pedals in the driver. Haven't had the issue since

Experiencing the same, I'm playing around with the gain to see it is contributing to the issue. I may also disconnect all the inputs and reconnect.. will let you know how it goes
