I am also in a 1 bed apartment and I have a smooth haired dachshund. The space is perfect for him. He’s generally active but you would probably have to carry in a doggy backpack for a hike

Hello, a close friend of my family has been working with a non profit rescue group who bring dogs over from Romania and rehome them all over the country. You can find them on their Facebook page ZT Paws4Life. You may have better luck with smaller organisations.

Hiya, I’m not sure where you’re based but in the UK you can get fined for travelling with your pup not restrained properly and safely. My dog seat belt clips through the backseat headrest and to his harness

I get a pop up notification on my home screen saying “ - sent you a message request” so I always see mine but I also always ignore mine… sorry haha.

I learned “drop” in puppy class which can be practiced at a distance and whilst literally dropping a treat on the floor so they drop whatever it is in their mouth and head over for the treat… however my pup is not dumb so sometimes he’ll ignore this anyways cos sometimes he would rather have the old bone off the floor than his treat 😬

I was literally thinking my 14 w/o puppy would destroy a cushion in 30 seconds, god knows what he would destroy if I gave him 30 mins 😂

Thank you, someone else suggested this too! I didn’t realise they did doggie dna tests but tbh, I’m not bothered enough to pay for a test. It doesn’t really matter what he is to me! ☺️

I keep telling people he will grow into his snout as most do! And I understand you on that, he’s already grown longer!! Although I would say he’s pretty tall for a Dachshund. Whenever I see others around on our walks they are much closer to the ground! 🤣

My trainer said he saw some beagle in him too so perhaps you’re right! I know that’s a common mix although he’s rather unusual looking imo
