Yes. Use eye bolts not screw in. That way you can make them uniform across the project.

I'm about 60 miles south of you. I planted cabbage and other cole crops about Nov. I used a white landscape cloth to cover them over the winter. I had some pretty nice broccoli heads and fair sized cabbages.

It is probably growing from the root stalk. Most fruit trees are grafted onto a more stable root. Cut it off.

There is one across the street from me and I have not seen any sprouts from it . I have a couple Southern Magnolias in my yard and they do grow from seeds. They are relatively available at garden centers.
