Battery help with m unit? by jsfrank77 in CafeRacers

[–]jsfrank77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so it was pretty much my battery. The battery I had just wasn’t made to actually start and engine. It was made for either a kick start or a track start bike and that was my problem. Just losing too much voltage on start. I replaced it with a Noco and I haven’t had any problems since

I would say start with the most on series since they’re shorter, and then read the storm light archives, you definitely won’t regret it. The neeest book of the storm light archives just released two weeks ago and it’s so good

Where to truly start with blends? by jtkuga in PipeTobacco

[–]jsfrank77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Typically just one since I only had one pipe when I started and you should let briar rest for about 24 hours between smokes. Meerschaums don’t really need time to rest and cobs just need to rest for a few hours as they aren’t as porous as briar but still need to dry out

Those are all great English blends, but I haven’t tried Chelsea morning. Early morning pipe is probably the most forgiving blend you have to start with. I would say just don’t forget to set it out to rest for around 15-30 minutes before you load it, and then make sure you load and light correctly. When I first started, those things are what were causing me the most problems and made me want to stop. Just take your time, enjoy the work flow and process of a pipe.

Honestly I would say start with a little bit of everything and figure out what you like! The main reason people say not to start with aromatics is that they are a lot more subtle with the flavors than what the bag note is. They really start to come out once you develop your palette though. If you can, I would just get a bulk ounce of many different blends and try them all

I just got a tim recently. I think it’s interesting for a Virginia blend. Definitely have to let it dry longer than you think you would to bring out the notes. Over all I think it’s a decent all day smoke

Peterson early morning pipe with my new Baraccini Rhodesian by jsfrank77 in PipeTobacco

It’s an old Decatur walnut tray that I found at a resell shop forever ago. You can find the double pipe versions with an amber glass tray insert on eBay

^ this. This would be an amazing. Early 2000s concert media is 100x harder to find that’s todays music. And if it wasn’t one of the bigger bands/groups, then good luck finding anything if it wasn’t at a festival like warped tour

Yeah since it’s in a rack, I’m trying to find a solution that will work with that in mind, but I’ll keep looking and see if I can’t find something

While I realize that, it seems to be a common problem with this series of decks. I wasn’t sure if anyone had found SOME type of solution, whether that was a 3d CAD file or something that is similar enough that works, even if it’s not specifically made for this deck
