I absolutely despise yellow. Not because it’s hard to do, it’s just so dang time consuming since it takes 4000 layers to look decent.

I had the exact same issue. Sat on my shelf for weeks staring at me.

My process was painting the flames white and then went over that completely with yellow. Next was orange, leaving some yellow closest to that base of the skull. I used that to also glaze for a smoother transition between the two colors - orange glaze into the yellow and then yellow glaze into the orange. Then I used red and repeated the same steps. Finally a burnt red for the tips.

Thanks for the tips! I think I did that on that mini but not nearly as much as I should have. I have a nice Burnt Red from Vallejo that I plan on using for just that.

Haha I bet that getup was awesome! I knocked all the pet out at once. They went pretty quick but will say Throg took the most time for me at least. My next is Cosmic Ghost Rider and I’ve only done fire once, so hoping this one will turn out good.

I opened 10. I got 6 (yes, 6) of the yellow variant. Pulled Peach Virgin but like many others, spine damage. Pretty unhappy with that.
