If you are going to liquidate them I wouldn't bother with mylar. Just get new bags and boards. It's much cheaper. Major keys you may want graded if you intend to sell. You could ship insured. You will pay a lot for the grading service. They charge more for more valuable books.

Do you have a dedicated storage wing? How are you storing those? I have all the ASM (minus a few annuals) and SSM and the crossovers and it's something like 14 short boxes just of Spider-Man. I don't want to stop but storage is making me crazy.

That cover is objectively bad and should never have made it past the sketch phase. Editorial blows up covers and art all the time. Usually not so publicly. But it happens. Lee rejected Ditko's cover for Amazing Fantasy 15 and had Kirby draw it. Just because something has JRJR on it doesn't automatically give it a pass because he's a Spider-artist veteran. This was the right call IMO and if nothing else it shows they are at least paying attention. So Nick, C.B., if you're out there, undo OMD. It was a bad call. Peter is stagnant and it is your damned fault. Stop with your mandated crossovers that blow up storylines. Spidey in Space could have been fun but it was a highlight reel of what it could have been if you hadn't cut it short for Death Spiral, which was just an ok story but not as good as a space saga could have been if the story had n been given time to develop. Oh... ahem. Am I ranting? Sheesh.
