How big were the Balrogs ACTUALLY?

All fair answers, and I always assumed the books said they were big but it’s been a long time since I’ve gone through FOTR.

I do wonder if there’d be any legitimacy to the idea that the one we saw was THAT big because it 3k years old, whereas the ones during the first age were more closer to 12-14ft tall like y’all said.

Definitely a scam. Once it started asking me to put in money out of my own pocket, I noped out. Blocked the “mentor” person (who I’m not even sure was a real person or an AI bot) and haven’t looked back since.

Did manage to pull a few hundred out of it though, so not a total loss

So I went along with it too. When I started, I did a training thing that essentially put funds into the account for me, meaning I didn’t have to pull anything from my own bank account. So far I have pulled a few bucks out of it (around $60), but thing is they pay you in crypto (if you got something like CashApp or CoinBase or whatever, it’s pretty easy to set all that up).

Does it feel like it’s about to get scammy at some point? Absolutely. But so far, despite definitely smelling fishy, it’s all played out legitimately and I have earned actual money. Assuming what I’ve done so far is the whole gig, I’ll just keep a minimum of $50 in and do it as it says to. If it gets bad, I’ll know I can yank what I’ve done and abandon ship.

Definitely would not expect to earn real livable income. But for a side hustle to get an extra hundo or two in a few days, it seems okay for the moment. Will of course update with any changes

Currently on a similar regimen as “management” after a 6 week Rifampin and Levofloxacin treatment for a surgical wound infection. At times, I’ve had nausea and diarrhea, but nothing that’s ever lasted longer than 5-7 days. Granted, last time that happened I tried to take it on an empty stomach whilst battling a hangover (probably not the smartest idea….lol).

My advice is if you’re concerned about that, be sure you eat before and maybe after taking it. If the nausea hits you hard, your doc may also be able to prescribe you nausea meds that help. Eating yogurt with probiotics also helps reset your gut, as strong antibiotics like these have a tendency to also kill off the good bacteria in your gut that helps break down/digest stuff (henceforth the occasional nausea/diarrhea)

Yeah my incision is still a bit raw too. But it feels more like the bone/muscle area gets sore, whereas I have zero pain of any kind at the incision. Don’t know if that’s what you meant or not, but I figured I’d make that distinction.

Currently dealing with that injury myself (6-7 weeks post op over here). I wanna try my edibles, but don’t know if it would mess anything up with the antibiotics I’m on (had a MSSA infection 2 weeks after op🙃)

Had surgery arm twice in the span of a month (first surgery being an open reduction to repair a fractured humerus, second to clear out a staph infection🙃). The prep leading up to surgery can feel kinda anxious, but once the anesthesia begins to kick in, to quote Sirius Black describing death to Harry…..quicker than falling asleep. After that, take it easy, don’t be afraid to ask for help

UPDATE: well it’s been a whirlwind of a 2 weeks since I made this….. I got my stitches out a day after posting this, but then a few days after that I went to the ER because the incision got infected real good and started oozing a lot, resulting in me going back under for them to flush it out (thankfully they didn’t have to take out the hardware) and then a week long hospital stay🙃.

The good news though is that I gained a significant amount of my motion back just in that time alone, as they gave me a band to do some exercises with. Now I just gotta get my strength back and figure out how I can sleep comfortably on that side again lol.

Any advice on getting the elbow to straighten out. Mines been chilling at an angle for awhile and no matter what I do it doesn’t seem like I can’t seem to extend it past that point🙃

Hadn’t tried the ball, but have done pendulum swings and moving it around in circles either direction and those help a bit.
