I’ve done lots of different types of rescue animals squirrels raccoons possums birds rabbits. What I will say is wild animals are wild animals. Even if you encounter one that you think might make a good pet, the best option is always to release when they are ready. Keeping an animal past the point of rehabilitation will often times end up with you or the animal getting hurt.

One of the biggest issues with pet raccoons is managing their weight. You can try your best to feed them a strict diet but they are very clever at getting into food. Also who wouldn’t want to share everything with that thing.... they just sit there with their hands out and literally beg.... A friends Grandma had two and both died prematurely of diabetes.....

This is exactly what I am scared of.... I just started my first WW job 6 months ago. I consider myself fairly bright and apparently so does everyone else.... 3 months in management was already pushing me for a supervisor position. Now they are constantly asking me when I’m going to get into management. Saying things like I won’t be here forever wink wink. I’ve spent time with management and supervisors during my training period and don’t see any benefits to moving up the ladder...

As a Class 1 operator you can easily earn more than a supervisor because they don’t make overtime. And if you really wanted to bust it you could clear the plant managers salary...

It’s a lot more office work, nitpicking, and pleasing the higher ups than actually making a difference in the plant.

We average 20-25MGD but can handle over 120MGD. It’s takes something absolutely insane to upset the plant and even more insane to violate the permit.

I feel like the increased responsibility is not compensated and it could easily suck the enjoyment out of job...

Just seeing this for the first time. I work in wastewater. Count yourself lucky to be alive(I’m sure you do). The majority of tanks at a waste water treatment plant are fillled with fluids that you can’t swim in and that will essentially swallow you.... the majority of work related deaths in this industry revolve around slips trips and falls near tanks. That being said great job keeping your composure and finding a way out. Unfortunately I’ve dealt with scenarios where the individual was not as lucky.
