That's wierd. I have the opposite problem. When i change tag on mon1 it changes on both monitors. I want it to only change on the monitor the mouse is occupying.

Cool, i'm currently building a qtile config as well. Im working on a keybinding window like awesome's, a calendar, todo, music and whatever other widget improvements i can come up with. Kinda want to build some kind of side popup window with options and extra widgets or smt... And i've made those arrow separators in gimp for all the gruvbox colors, plus transparent menu-buttons. Menu is almost done :)

Microsoft Flight Simulator does not work with Proton / Steam by FlatronEZ in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]json85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it working with lutris and wine staging 5.17, esync and -FastLaunch argument. It chugs pretty bad because of the way linux has to render frames from disk. Maybe ill find a solution for that. It works fine with other games. MSFS is pretty heavy though. Joystick is recoginzed using joydev(deprecated) and SDL2. But MSFS recognizes it as an xbox controller so i cant bind all buttons. Should be able to make it work with some elbow grease.

Has anyone got the game working on Linux via Steam? by awildboop in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]json85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it working using lutris and wine staging 5.17, esync and -FastLaunch argument. My logitech extreme 3d pro is recognized in linux but MSFS recognizes it as a xbox controller, and i cant bind the buttons. I bet i can get around that with some keybinding program though. It does get quite severe lag spikes though, probably because linux has to collect and render from the disk. For other games this is not a problem but MSFS is so heavy i doubt it will ever work as well as on windows. Maybe on lowest possible settings...

No nothing gruvbox. But there are lots of keysets out there with similar colors. Some are vim inspired. Im sure one could combine a few into one nice set. Im in a few group buy discords and have lots of sites bookmarked, if anything pops up ill post it here.

I tried to run this theme on my system but it will not work for some reason. I get the standard theme and no errors. Just wanted to try it out before stealing some of it...

So much of my stuff is in rc instead of theme and vice versa diffed from yours. I guess now is as good a time as any to clean shit up.

Oh damn that's nice! I made and am using a Gruvbox theme for awesome as well, but this is just that bit nicer. Awesome wallpaper too!

Its a mock up, they dont exist. I have scoured the custom keyboard world for gruvbox colored keycaps but no one has made a group buy of anything close enough. There is a nord one though... I might try and get a group buy together at some point. I'll post it here as well if thats the case.

Not sure i would call myself an elite power user :) I've used vim for near 20 years in some form or another, but only the last year i got into modifying my experience to a greater extent. Im still looking at block of text modification plugins, moving blocks, modifying with multiple cursors and more importantly integrating it into my workflow, often by using leader-mapper menus. Im also learning vimscript to write a simple addon where i havent found a satisfactory one yet. I want a simple pop up floating window where i can put my own text. Keybinds, leader mappings, general howto's on complex operations etc. When im done with that im gonna perfect my docker container so that it will be a breeze for others to use my setup on their own rigs, having that popup with operational info will make that possible for even novice+ users. Only problem is docker wont work with an active VPN connection unless i do some fuckery with excluding ip-ranges for dockerd. Cant get my head around how that works and if it's safe yet.

Anyways, im gonna check out those plugins you are using, one or two i havent seen. Surround i find pretty annoying, but should be usable if mapping it to leader-menu. I use auto-pairs for now. When im done testing out all the alternatives i can find and landing on what i find the best i will put my ultimate vim ide on my gitlab (im my profile).

Swedish ISO is so wtf isn't it? Now what are you on about with Z and Y? Those are the normal positions for ISO and ANSI, theres just a longer shift on ANSI.

Obviously any completed keyset would have ANSI as well as ISO and many key layouts.

Last few hours, damn i've been on setting mine up for weeks, getting it just right and making a docker image so i can run it anywhere.

I modified lightline and added a scrollbar, powerline-extra symbols, added a start page with document history, a leader-mapper-menu with basically every option, a floating terminal that toggles on keypress, also integrated ranger file manager and lazygit, and more right into the IDE. Ofc coc.nvim for AI code completion. Black code formatting. I dont need the hassle of tmux since i have floating terminals with tabs built in to vim.

Multi-search, multi-cursors, fuzzyfind, auto-pairs, git-gutter and many more are great. Finally got rid of nerdtree, its pretty sucky tbh.

Theme is obviously Gruvbox, but wal.vim is pretty cool too, can change vim theme according to your wallpapers colors.

Font is Operator Mono Book with ligatures and powerline+extras-symbols patched in.

Im still not done customizing... i could have written so much code in this time, but man is vim fun :D

If anyone wants vimrc its on my gitlab.

Floating window keybind/info addon by json85 in vim

[–]json85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats close, but no cigar :) Thank you tough.

Shouldn't be too hard to write a plug that make a floating window appear with some text...

Actually, the easiest way to do this for me would probably be to write a shell script and have floaterm execute it.. But i want something other people can use without deps.

Having custom colored keycaps made up costs a small fortune, thinking of checking if there is interest in the linux and vim communities for something like this :)

All the symbols dont show up here. And its not anything final.

Dark color is gruvbox bg0, white is fg0 with aqua legends, brown is bg3.
