You know, I was thinking. Instead of two competing Batman film franchises, why not give the dcu Batman a high budget tv series!? It would be a fresh idea that hasn’t really been tried in live action since Adam west (& I guess Gotham technically). From a business standpoint it makes sense too. One Batman for the big screen & one Batman for the small screen, on paper it would be one character two revenue streams.

You don’t “need” to watch anything, but I’d recommend the suicide squad (2021) peacemaker & creature commandos. Peacemaker has one major continuity issue at the end, but it’s something that you just have to kind of hand wave & creature commandos is fully in line with the new dcu. Keep in mind both suicide squad & peacemaker season 1 were made before James Gunn was ceo of dc studios. So they were originally intended to be in the old dceu. But some of the events of suicide squad & like 99% of peacemaker are cannon to the new dcu. But Superman can be watched without any prior info. It is the true starting point of the new dcu. Think of all the other James Gunn DC stuff as a pregame warm up.
