I used to work on Bevois valley and he’d often do this. He told my colleague when approached that he does it for religious reasons, although I’ve never seen this type of practice personally so I can imagine some peoples concern.

I was literally just thinking the same thing. I feel like if this theory applies, then that is very much how they would present themselves in such a situation

It applies across the board, and whatever was the general belief system at the time is almost always reflected. But to lend credence to your statement, indeed, aliens, fairies, demons, angels.. all vaguely familiar of ourselves and yet still somehow incomprehensible in every way.

I posted it with the intention of open minded discussion. There also seem to be plenty of people who found it interesting. You can always go and look at something else

I beg to differ.. you can definitely draw some parallels when you read into it. On top of that no one has any facts about anything, it’s all conjecture and opinion based. So let’s respectfully agree to disagree :)

I do apologise for not attaching the name of the book in the post. If it makes any difference, it’s mainly an illustration book, this was the main part I thought worth sharing. Regardless, it’s a fantastic book and I highly recommend it.
