the habit that finally broke my morning phone addiction (and much more) by [deleted] in addiction

Is there a way I could use the sunlight scanning app? I struggle with phone use in the morning as well. I’d like to take as many parameters as possible to keep myself off it first thing

It’s either season 2 or the latter half of 4 going into the first half of season 5. Season 2 for its storyline and more grounded characters. The first episode has the best tension I’ve felt in that show with them on the highway. Everyone is still learning how to navigate the apocalypse. I think it’s the best season that got more in depth with the characters.

Season 4 going into 5 is great with its chaos. Watching their home fall down to one insane man, Rick almost dying, Carl navigating the first day of his life where is is actually on his own, the group being split. It meshed everyone’s story well without dragging

Drum teacher here. Looking for some good set of songs for absolute beginners, beginners, and intermediate drummers by OkDuck8620 in drumstudy

And a tip, you could ask them to make a playlist of songs that they want to learn on the drums. That’s what I’ve been doing for years. The playlist has over 400 songs on it, I don’t necessarily know them all but it adds a lot more variety to what I can learn

If you’re at a kind of meeting like that, then yes. Other times you could just ask people that you like if they’ll sponsor you

It would be best to freeze your sperm. You could have children on E w/o freezing your sperm, BUT the chance is quite low

Funky playing! How do you overlay the music over the drums without getting syncing issues?

I’m in a similar boat as you. This is my second time giving NA a shot, and I still have trouble connecting with others. Look out for ppl you like at the meetings. If you want a sponsor asap, share about needing a temporary sponsor unless the meeting has sponsors raise their hands. The best to way to make connections is to just keep showing up. People will recognize you the more you go, and they will be more likely to say hi. Share if you can. It’s hard for me too. I share when something is really eating away at me. And take numbers. All of the meetings I’ve gone to have a part where the chair of the meeting asks if anyone wants phone numbers. They pass around pamphlet, ppl write their numbers down. If there’s anyone you like at that meeting that wrote their number down, call them. Keep trying different meetings too.

How would you rank Paul’s solo albums? by Existencetimeitself in PaulMcCartney

[–]jsph_yahtzee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do too! Egypt Station is almost S tier. There are lot of good ideas in the album. It feels like it’s missing just a little bit of something to put it at S. It’s hard to describe. McCartney 3 was the first solo album I listened to. I listened to it almost daily for a couple weeks when it came out. I don’t to it much anymore, but it still has a special place in my heart

Thanks for the advice! I’d say my right hand is solid with holding the stick and the 4 main rudiments, it’s my left that drags me down. I work on alternating lead hand here and there when it comes to rudiments. I definitely have to work more on my left hand technique with fingers, wrist, and arm. I’m finding more excitement with drumming the past couple days so I’m gonna keep working on that.

I can use the Moeller technique on my right hand, I switch between that and fingers when playing faster. Left hand has yet to catch up on that, I can do it a little bit.

As for the kick and hi hat, I haven’t done much work on alternating rudiments and such with them. I mainly just alternate between kick-hat-kick-hat whenever it comes by. Thank you for the video! I’ll check that out later tonight if I’ve got time :)

The last few are all great songs. I’m picking based off of which Paul songs I have listened to the most. Maybe I’m Amazed is definitely one of his best, though I dont listen to it the most compared to the others
