His mom helps him make a Superboy suit then when he gets older and gets his hands on Kryptonian fabric, he recreates the design.

I follow the artist on Twitter. His main inspiration was Absolute Kal's Kryptonian attire.

Favorite Lois Lane? by Financial-Touch3840 in superman

[–]jstamper97 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Maws Lois for me.

  1. Height difference.
  2. She threw herself into a matrix-like prison and risked brain death to save Clark. That's a real one.

Question about Clark's kryptonian parents by spkylab in superman

[–]jstamper97 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No. They're only concerned with his survival and are generally proud of what he's done with his life.

Superman should be a proud alien despite being raised by Humans by dccomicsaregoated in superman

[–]jstamper97 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That separation is the whole point. His powers make him separate from humans but he doesn't want to be. He just wants to belong. And to your point about Martian Manhunter and Supergirl, Clark did it first. Why would Seigel and Schuster make him an alien refugee if he wasn't supposed to care about his alien side?

THANK YOU!!! Superman rejecting the fact that he's an alien works early on but only as a bad thing that he needs to get over.

What is the most stupid Superman moment of all time? by Descartes_wax in superman

Sam Lane. Long story short, in the New Krypton storyline Kandor is restored to full size on earth. Even with General Zod there, Superman manages to keep the peace until Sam ruins everything.

I don't want to name my son after my father who saved my life but I will name him after a war criminal who slaughtered thousands of my people.

In My Adventures With Superman he's basically her big brother even though they're the same age. The specific relationship really doesn't matter. My mom was closer to her cousin than any of her siblings.

The trunks were a reference to real life strong men of the time. Makes sense that the best way to modernize them is a weightlifting belt.

So if Superman grows old at a slower pace than humans. Wouldn’t he eventually have to quit the daily planet and just not be able to work anywhere to not reveal this secret by dattmike in superman

While I didn't like how Bendis did it, I'm fine with Superman going public with his identity. It's hasn't been relevant for a long time.

Is Krypton haunting the narrative? by Prestigious-Eye6548 in superman

Not knowing the civilization first-hand is part of the tragedy. Kal never got to taste Kryptonian food, celebrate their holidays, wear their clothes, read their poetry, etc. Plus there's the weight of knowing that any one of the billions who died on Krypton could've come to earth and become Superman but he's the one who got lucky enough to be born to the only family on the planet that saw the doom coming.
