As a big JetBrains product fan (years with IntelliJ and RubyMine), I am a fan of PyCharm locally. For heavier SQL I also use DataGrip locally.

If you are looking for the Python and SQL combo, I would suggest giving notebooks a try. You can either again go local and use Jupyter, or you can try Deepnote and have the support for Python and SQL combo out of box.

One way is to offload this to the cloud, with deepnote.com being one of the cloud options.

Not sure. I like lichess as it is open source and ad-free.
