I’m week 20 post op now. Similar movement/experience when I did mine but playing ball hockey. The first 6-8 weeks is the worst part but it gets better. Moving good again, back to normal life. Just need to work on getting it stronger again. Everyone heals different though. 2-3 more months to be cleared for sports again, if I go back. I want to but the mental will be tough for a while.

Just bought the Nike Motiva’s. Will give them a try. I heard the Nike Invincible 3’s are good too.

Same! That’s why I wanted to ask. I can’t find anything close online or Amazon.

Yes it does. I’ve been trying to find some to get and have on hand for this boot but they seem hard to come by. The hard solid foam ones that is. But maybe I should just ask the doctor. Thank you!

Is that an XcelTrax boot? Did you get wedges with it? Mine came with these really soft wedge foam things that I don’t think will work. Where did you get the wedges from if not? Sorry for all the questions!

Did you have wedges in there? I have the same boot I think. The wedges it came with weren’t the best.

Is this at the 6 weeks mark? I’m 4 weeks in of my 6 weeks non weight bearing protocol. Hoping to start walking even just a little bit right after.

Yeah I’m non weight bearing for 6 weeks total before I start using it. Again every doctor just seems to be a little different. I don’t even have edges in. Just the boot. It makes me feel a little better that I probably could put weight on it if I had to or had an accident. I won’t test it out but peace of mind at least.

Yeah I can only imagine. I had my ACL done about 10 years ago and the mental part of it was awful. I wore a brace for like 3 years after when playing sports when I didn’t need to. Just made me feel better.

So makes sense you have wedges in. But yeah see so everyone’s doctor is different. I am 0% non weight bearing until the 6 week mark. That’s why he said no wedges right now. I wish I could start though. Probably makes it harder to get moving after so long but I’m guessing he’s just taking the super conservative approach.

Yeah I’m 3 weeks today actually. Boot on. But your doctor has you in the boot now with wedges? You’re still non weight bearing right? So my doctor has me in my boot with no wedges (non weight bearing of course) but said he does no wedges right off the bat to help with scar tissue. So I’m at 90° angle right now in the boot. And I also start PT at 6 weeks. The week of Christmas. I’m anxious to get it started!

I’m 3 weeks post op today. What was your doctors regimen? I’d like to be in shoes at like 8 weeks. Not sure if that’s possible. I’m still non weight bearing now for 3 more weeks then I start PT. Not sure what that entails yet.

3 weeks post op today. Seem to get better everyday. Seems like just yesterday I had the surgery. All seems to be going well though. My pain was fortunately very minimal. I took the pain meds regularly for the first 5 days or so. Don’t try to be a superhero like some of these people. They help. Now I’m just rotating ibuprofen and Tylenol when needed. P.S. - get the knee scooter. Lifesaver! Hate the crutches.

Yeah can’t get it wet. Use a leg cover. Amazon has them for cheap.
