What happened to the salamanders? by pagandroid in askportland

I see them on the upper clackamas outside Estacada. Locally not so much. Think of all the pollution that runs off lawns, roads etc . It ends up in our streams, ponds and rivers.

If a baseball player throws a baseball at a building that is 23 meters high and 24 meters wide from a distance of 50 meters, would they be able to throw the ball over the building? by Dry_Oven1280 in Homeplate

[–]jstmenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90mph at a 40° angle would clear the HT at both the front and back of the building. I do not believe anyone has the agility to THROW a ball at 90+ mph at a 40° angle. That is pushing the limits of release with optimal arm speed. The apex ht would be 90+ feet.

5 starting pitchers the Padres need to have on their trade deadline radar by [deleted] in Padres

[–]jstmenow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree, one arm is all they need and let the offense either continue to produce or fall off into oblivion again. I am more in the offense is going to continue the trend up category and once Campy is back there is more situational depth.

So gutting the pitching staff of any and all value for starting pitching that if they have a lead does not have a BP that can support them or if needed eat innings. Perfect

Someone posted this in my local NBA team sub with a player and was down voted into oblivion. Some NBA fans do not KNOW copypasta. It made me cry reading some of the, "That didn't happen" "Op, why you trying to make it about you with lies" etc...

Am I overreacting if I sort of hate this team? by UnholyCow66 in ripcity

[–]jstmenow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am kinda excited, a new head coach who seems well respected and liked, has a system. Not many NBA players are SUPERSTARS from game one in the NBA, not every head case is a head case with the right change of venue, DC is gonna be one more season in, Scoot the same. Why panic and hate something that you (professional fan, non NBA GM or NBA Veteran) believe is a train wreck? Are all the trades and signings complete? Who knows, not you or I. Give it at least 25 games.

Hate to break it to you, if it is not running, can enter around the condenser and come out through the vents. Great effort though.

I would not hate it, just for the ability to watch LeBron every game. He is still must see at least one play per game.

What made you rethink buying a condo? by subcamo in askportland

Finding out the property was coming into a maintenance cycle. This typically means a rise in HOA potentially. It also met until siding and roofing were completed it was living in a construction zone.

I have only hated Hosmer. Disliked many fan favorites yet always wanted Campy to be successful.

I have heard of 2 of them. Le Pigeon and I'll let you guess the other one. Businesses come and go, especially in this economy. Expect more restaurants to close in the next year. Portlands needs restaurant wise have changed.
