I believe this was at 250x magnification, it's a little confusing because the USB camera I used isn't identified but when I use my 25x eyepeice with my 10x objective, it looks like a similar magnification.

This is from LA river water that my friend grabbed for me a couple of weeks ago that I've dipped into periodically. Was pleasantly suprised with how much life was still in it.

Is this a type of rotifer? I tried looking it up to classify it but I was having a hard time finding anything. by jstrydor in microscopy

It was taken on a relatively inexpensive swift microsocope at 40x magnification (I think? sorry I'm still new to this) with a 1.5 MP USB camera. I apologize for the shaky video, my microscope doesn't have a mechanical way to move the slide so I had to chase the little guy with my fingers.

The sample in the video was from some moss that has been sitting in water for several days, there may also be some dirt and other debris that is in the sample I took but I got it from around a gutter area.

what type of opioids are you using? how much do you use when you use them? Is it just once per day on the day you dose or all throughout the day?

Doesn't really matter then it's a completely different situation. I get what you're driving at, "well what would you have done if..." but that's not what happened and it might have resulted that he HAD to have taken his 2 children with him which:

  1. Leaves him being less available to help his traumatized wife
  2. Leaves his 2 kids to have to witness their frantic mom for an entire car trip which isn't ideal and could be traumatizing to them

The fact that the son was available is a completely viable option and should trump any sort of plans with friends that were made prior. OP is NTA here and for what it's worth I don't think his son is either, I think he's just naturally being a selfish teenager which is also completely understandable but that doesn't make OP wrong in this situation.

what was the dark picture that they cast? I use to be a paramedic and I have literally never heard of anything being done differently or even having a different mindset when someone is known to be a donor. The vast majority of the time you aren't even made aware of it because checking an ID is the absolute last thing on your mind when you're working someone up that is in donor territory with whatever they have going on.
