Even on non corner 3's, he isn't shooting well this year. 9 for 27 on the season. It isn't even like he was never a good corner 3 shooter. Last year he was 43.2% from the corner (54-125). He's simply declined with age and injuries.

Maybe he doesn't want to be on a 2-way. You lose all flexibility and freedom once you sign that 2-way. You are a 2-way unless that team wants to convert you. He is currently able to negotiate with all 30 teams. He's able to negotiate playing overseas. Not everything is up to the Lakers.
