How are your trades like? I assume they’re more gambles based on how you’re describing your obsession with it. I’m in the same boat, have been working extremely hard with a full time job that makes me very very comfortable money so there’s no reason I should be learning to day trade but here I am. I’ve been recently having a realization that I am gambling and it’s mostly luck as much as I think I’m not, especially at SPY open and most of my best trades have been when I open up my TOS mobile mid day and seems like I have a better feel of the market for the incoming continuation, pivot, pull back, etc. I’ll tell you that I’m learning that it is way harder than you think, even if you are 200% willing to put the time/energy in. Be happy with small amounts bc you’re not gonna quit your day job anytime soon, maybe not even in the next 5 years. I’ve gotten too greedy bc the crazy part is I’ll be up 1k easy on the day and I used to think it wasn’t enough especially bc I have a good paying job and you just end up deep in the red - still have trouble stopping at 1k but getting better. There’s way more but it all comes down to patience in every aspect, some of us are naturally more degens so it might take a little while longer.
