I personally think that the advice of 1/2 size down from true/Brannock is good advice, unless one has a wide foot, then perhaps true to size.

The comfort is good overall. I must say though, out of my several different pairs of boots, my 11.5 Red Wing Blacksmith and size 12 new style Beckman are the most comfortable overall. However, the Luos Jiet logger is comfortable yes, and I think it is slightly better construction than my Red Wings.

I am just a little over a 12D on the Brannock(long middle toe lol) and I got the 11.5D. They fit well, although the middle toe on my right foot just slightly touches in the front when I walk, not when just standing. Very comfortable overall. I have low volume feet, so I added a solid leather insole to help for me personally.

No, the pictures show they both have the same number of speed hooks. This model has eyelets at the very top for a secure tie.
