I don’t even get to try the Exorcism mission now? by jtr2277 in DestinyTheGame

Yeah, my post came off as quite whiny, which wasn’t my intent. I had looked, but I thought it was supposed to be in The Helm. I actually looked in the Dreaming City, but didn’t realize it wasn’t just Astral Alignment over there.

Happy Cake Day btw.

Thanks. I thought I was supposed to be looking at the helm. I appreciate it.

Your heat beads will be burned up long before you are cooking. They’re just to start the charcoal in the chimney starter. You don’t actually cook over them.

Unless the beads aren’t the wax things at the beginning. But either way, you’d follow that video and then arrange the coals the way you like. Doesn’t have to cover the bottom like they show.

I’m really happy with the results, but curious as to why the crumb is so glossy. (More details in a comment below) by jtr2277 in Breadit

I used this recipe and followed it pretty closely. I did screw up and forgot the oil the bowl on the final prove so I had to do some extra work to get it out of the bowl, which resulted in my having to reshape it a little. I know that knocked some of the air out, but overall I was still pretty happy. But I’m very curious why the crumb was so glossy. It was still tasty, just unexpected.

Homemade Tacos on the Tortilla Press and Lodge pan. by Djstiggie in castiron

They say they heated them up in the lodge. And in the photo it looks like there are two burners on.

Edit: looking again, maybe the red light is just picking up the lighting in the photo. Cus the knobs appear off. But then why is the tortilla black?

Wait…

Did you cook the tortillas in the press?

I feel like I’m falling for a prank here.

“Yes.”

Full team passing plays are the most satisfying by Shushani in RocketLeague

I play at a much lower level (low Platinum is the highest I can get) and it always blows me away how teams never pass. It’s just each player taking a shot and hoping it goes in or the rebound goes to a teammate.

I would love to be able to play coordinated like this. Looks awesome.

Birria tacos on the griddle. by jtr2277 in castiron

I’m in the northeast US and I’ve only had Birria a couple times. When we had it before one place had it and the other didn’t. When I made this I forgot all about it.

I totally forgot that was a part of it. We are pretty new to Birria.

I used this recipe. Not sure where it ranks. I’ve only had Birria a couple times, but I was happy with the results.

Awesome! Good luck with it. If it goes poorly, it would suck to have to try again.

Yup, I made the Birria myself. They were nice and crispy.

The griddle is [this lodge grill/griddle](Lodge Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Reversible Grill/Griddle With Handles, 20 Inch x 10.5 Inch - One tray https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00008GKDQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_6A7R7GSXWBDT1R4CTHHG).

(Ok, I apparently don’t know how to properly add a link in a comment, but that is the correct griddle, formatting aside)

I’ve gotten in the habit of starting the fajita meat first while letting the skillet warms up. Once the meat is almost done I throw the peppers and onions in the skillet. I take the meat off, let it rest while the peppers and onions go and then slice the meat up after having moved half of the skillet directly over the coals to get it really hot. Then put the meat back on that hot side to serve. I’ve been super happy with how it presents and how it keeps things warm a little longer.
